And just like that I realized the « Gryffindor tapestry » is just a reproduction of an actual french tapestry from the late middle age called « The lady and the unicorn » (La dame à la licorne). It’s really famous here in France 🇫🇷😁

I'm sure I've commented this before hehe but signet rings were originally used for wax seals! So when I saw this one I immediately thought that must be what it's for. Would have been cute if they gave some red wax with it, actually. Love your videos!

@05:50. That tapestry is a copy of The Lady and the Unicorn. It is one of a set of six tapestries woven in Flanders from wool and silk, from designs drawn in Paris around 1500. The complete set is on display in the Musée de Cluny in Paris and is considered one of the greatest works of art of the Middle Ages in Europe.

You gotta admit the Ravenclaw blue and bronze is a beautiful combo.

It must be sooo hard to make a box like this without using any of the House names or shields, but I do love clothing in just the colors without any official Hogwarts shields or words because it’s more subtle when I wear it, like IYKYK. definitely loooooove that key, and sounds like I’d love the candle scent (alas, Im Ravenclaw!). Wish the portraits were magnets instead of pins, but the Prefect pin looks legit AF.

I’m very excited and glad that you share this magical experience with your weird magical online family, as someone who can’t get these types of things it’s always interesting to see how many magical things are made and your opinion on what types of things you like. Your Gryffindor coloured cushion can go in the living room for CHRISTMASSSS! I am so excited to see your tree. Mine is adorned with more HP stuff now from watching your channel last year. I had no idea half that stuff even existed, so thank youuu! My cousin made me a Sorting Hat for my bridal shower ten years ago, and I've used it as my tree topper ever since :D

In America we have some traditions. One of them is each graduating high school and/or university class makes there own class rings. I believe the ring is ment to be something similar to a class ring ( like a house ring).

Yes they have all four houses in tapestries. You can get them on the website. You can use Command Strips to hang them without damaging the material.

Oh this is the first type of house pride box I really like! Usually they are pretty weak and only include some common wearables like socks or stuff but this one is definitely worth it 😊

Love this video, love this box, but I wish they had included a stick of sealing wax in with the ring (of the appropriate color), so you knew immediately what it was for. Love all your videos, and love, Love, LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!

So many wonderful things about these items! Having two tacks for each pin so they don’t spin around on your bag or robe. The loop on the tie so the small end can be tacked. The cuff, extra length on the hat so it it droops in the back. The hangers for the tapestry. Such incredible touches! I’m so impressed!

I quite enjoyed this box, too, even though some items like the tie or the beanie can easily be repeats if you've started collecting for quite some time already 😅 But I really liked the wax seal ring (the one it made you think about was a Wizarding Trunk one, btw, it was indeed a Black family signet ring we got in the previous High Security Vault 😊), the keyring and the potion! And if you feel like having a look at the Hufflepuff versions of the items, I shared my Instagram post on this box with you in dms ^^

They did such a good job overall curating this crate for each house. WT has all other house specific items up on their shop so you can take a look or collect other house items such as keys, tapestries, and candles.

I'm back with some thoughts after seeing the unboxings for the other houses as well. It would be so cool if one could own all four of the portrait pins and if there was a similar one with Dumbledore. 🤩 It would also be cool if one could own the equivalent of the hippogryph pups print for the other houses and the prints for the common rooms as well. I would make two massive frames, one with the four prints and one with the four common rooms because they would look epic! (in my opinion at least ☺️). Also, since they gave only one pillow cover/case it would be cool to own all of them! 🤩 After seeing all the common room keys I can firmly state that they are all AMAZING! 😍 Sorry for the super long comment. I usually don't write massive comments, but this got me hyped! 😅 P.S.: I found it funny that the letter was written by a prefect and you own a prefect badge from the box. 😏

You could make an apron or skirt with the ties if you have a lot of them

Just an idea (if you have enough ties) you could sew them together to make a skirt. You could use the cushion cover as travel bag to keep under garments together in your suitcase ( I a friend who does this)

i haven´t seen the gryffindor open one yet, but the Potter collector opened a slytherin box. but i can see where you would want the pillow on your catch, but I dont mind one for my chair. the prefect note is funny, why can i see one of the twins doing that?

This was a pretty nice box I like this smell of a good candle if you can find one however it is the burning of the candle that mostly does not work for me as it makes me cough a lot. Nice Pillow cover, a bit Small but nice tapestry, Loved the Godrick Gyffindor frame pin, I might try and get some of these things.
