That's a big theme of the books and the universe as a whole, I find. Geralt faces all these monsters, and knows of even worse ones, yet the worst monsters are always human.

The Elucidator I also think the point is, monsters are monsters. They don’t know better than to kill and hurt. But humans should know better, still some decide to act like monsters - sometimes even worse.

I love his speech about evil. You rarely see a character grasp that point, let alone express it without judgment or condemnation

I used to think 'Henry Cavill' was the best cast for 'Superman' Until I saw him as "The Witcher".

I'm obsessed with this show and I've seen plenty of fan made videos, but this... Wow... I'm speechless... I enjoyed EVERY second of it and I utterly love this masterpiece. Very well done! 👏🏻👏🏻

I watched the entire season, and I loved it. I ignored the sometimes choppy CGI, and even the confusing storyline. Mostly because I am in love with Henry Cavil! He truly loves this role and seems to revel in it. Bravo Henry!!

I'm just sad they skipped over one of the most important things from Sword of Destiny: Geralt and Ciri had already met each other before that final (re?)union. They're not joined by destiny alone, but by "something" far more powerful than that. "It's like they said! Geralt! It's like they said! Am I your destiny? Say it! Am I your destiny?" "You're more than that, Ciri. Much more." This was completely skipped over, the entirety of their story together in Brokilon.

Yeah I missed this scene in the book... The showrunners just decided for a more cinematic scene instead... But I would love to include this scene in season 2 when Geralt, Yen and Ciri all meet together... 😊

This was beautiful. You should've edited the Netflix's trailers for this show. Stirs the emotions and shows a passion for the characters and stories. Good job. Will look to see if you've made other videos of The Witcher like this one. :)

Other than the odd split-second pause that disrupts the immersion, this is really really good. Love it. Impressive.

ahh, sword fights, especially the one with Renfri... Breathtaking every time I watch them. Fantastic job and amazing acting.

If they do continue this series up to the wild hunt, I can’t wait for my favorite scenes, like where he thinks ciri is dead on the island, and where he has fun being a father to ciri, like throwing snowballs and encouraging her to be good.

I've never seen the Witcher. The fact that you managed to make an amazing tribute to the show spoiling many key points while simultaneously making sure someone who hasnt seen the show won't understand them is astounding. Brilliant work.

I wanna say that I relate to this guy a lot. He shows integrity, character, and perseverance in the face of adversity, of not belonging, and people treating him like dog crap. Half of being in middle school and a lot of high school was like that for me because of some social challenges I've now overcome the hard way. The only upside was two or three good friends that supported me through it and the love of my parents. After overcoming many obstacles, Geralt finally finds his purpose after years of being a hollow shell that wanders aimlessly. That being said, watching this video brings back a lot of emotions such as hurt (because kids are mean) but also pride (because of perseverance). While fiction, his story gives hope to people. I love this character.

Also, while this may be simply the ravings of a madman, I'd like to tell a story. In my senior year of high school, I was assigned a book club group in my English class. We found a small, online PDF of a book titled "Elric of Melnebon". I was using my google account to find the PDF, which is the same account tied to youtube. Not only did the first season of Witcher come out the following summer, but I also saw this on my youtube feed. "You'll never guess what inspired The Witcher series." That's right, I read a book that inspired the Witcher books and then watched the show that summer. Along with what I mentioned above, I feel that if this idea of "fate" is real, that mine and the books' are tied because of how much I relate to the character. Maybe it's supposed to give me hope.

I like both The Witcher and God Of War stories. Imagine The witcher and Kratos(calmer one from GoW4) crossing paths. They would have interesting stories to share to each other. :D
