Richie Kotzen is one of the most underrated artists out there! He’s great! His voice and guitar playing are amazing!

I love to see more Winery Dogs reactions! This new song is among their best, very strong stuff. If singer Richie Kotzen were a baseball player, he'd be a 5 tool player, meaning he can do everything. In addition to being a amazing vocalist and incredible guitarist, he's also an excellent songwriter (with seemingly endless hooks), producer, can play bass, drums, keys and more. Definitely let the dogs out more often, great reaction!

I saw these guys in a bar in my hometown of Ft. Smith, Arkansas bout 10 yrs ago and was blown away. Awesome 3 piece blast of good music. As in Rush, Triumph and ZZ Top, each member kicks ass on their own particular instrument.

The Winery Dogs rock!! Man, where have I been?? I walked in blind and will be leaving WOWED! All of these guys are fantastic musicans and they can sing! Great vocals and harmonies! The lead singer and guitarist reminded me of Burton Cummings, and he can play that guitar. Thanks for this great request, Adam, and for turning me onto this power trio. I agree with you 100%, Harri. It'samazing what great sound three musicians can produce.

The bass player is Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr Big, Sons Of Apollo), singer / guitarist is Richie Kotzen (Poison, Mr Big, Smith/Kotzen), drummer is Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Adrenaline Mob, Avenged Sevenfold, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, Neal Morse Band, Sons Of Apollo).

Love to hear this! When I heard their debut album 10 years ago, it became a desert island classic and they became one of my favorite bands. All 3 of their albums are great but the first one is really special, be sure to check it out and be amazed. This song "Mad World" reminds me of the first album vibe.

This band has three of the best players at their position. And they pull it off live too. If you really like the guitarist and his singing, listen to 50 for 50 by Richie Kotzen. That’s him. It’s got funk, rock, dripping with soul, jazz, fusion, acoustic, and metal. And not always on different songs. And it’s all great.

Richie wrote the song “Regret” prior to The Winery Dogs, but they put it on their debut album. It is a great song! I’d love to see your reaction. Richie Kotzen also has a live video on KZread of “Regret” that he recorded in his house with just him and a Vintage Vibe Electric Piano. It sounds awesome! That would be a cool reaction too.

Mike Portnoy is one of the finest drummers around. He was absolutely stellar with Dream Theater. He can play Rush and you think you are hearing Neal Peart. Just amazing.

Nice one,Harri! From their new/third album titled 'III'. Also from that one,try 'Zanadu'. THe title track Hot Streak (2nd album) or from the debut .. Elevate, Desire, The Other Side and/or Regret. Awesome band: Richie Kotzen - Guitar, lead vocals/ Billy Sheehan - bass, vovals, and Mike Portnoy - drums, vocals.

I just picked up the limited edition vinyl re-issue of his first band, “Mother Head’s Family Reunion”. I’d like to hear the story behind that name. 😂 It sounds great though.

Thanks as always Harri. I really dig this trio. Mike Portnoy is one of the best drummers going. His stuff with Dream Theatre was outstanding. Billy Sheehan is a great bass player who I loved with David Lee Roth and Mr. Big he has a unique sound. And Ritchie Kotzen, is a great guitar player and singer so I can forgive him for being in Poison. Lol.

Anything Richie Kotzen touches seems to turn to music gold. The Winery Dogs are great. His project with Adrian Smith (Smith/Kotzen) is the best rock album I've heard in years, and his solo stuff is great. Check out Time Machine or Xanadu if you want more Winery Dogs or try Solar Fire or Scars from the Smith/Kotzen album.

Richie is influenced by Prince, Hall and Oates, among others. He brings so many musical characteristics into his playing. If you have the chance listen to his album 50 for 50. Literally 50 songs!!! You cannot get bored due to the diversity. He plays almost all instruments on the album. It has become my favourite album of all time.

No disrespect intended, Harri, but in a Studio, you can make a 3 piece sound like a 5 piece. In the Video, there is layers of Guitars - that's Guitars with 6 strings, not including Bass Guitar. Also in the Video the singer plays Guitar sometimes and sometimes has both hands on the mic, so in real life it wouldn't sound like this. I don't know if they have additional musicians on tour, but he would need to keep his hands on that Guitar when performing live and he wouldn't be able to do all the guitar parts live. I'm sure they still sound good though. Music videos do not equate to live performance. Eyes and Ears, not just ears.

You are absolutely correct sir. But we are talking Mike Portnoy on drums and Billy Sheehan on Bass. And believe me, they don’t need studio tricks and are more than capable of doing this live!

@@scottlaughlin9897 I know exactly who is in the band. What I'm saying is directed towards people who watch a Top of the Pops performance or "Official Music Video" and believe that all the sounds they are hearing are played in real time on that video/performance. Believe me, I know how good these musicians are.

I have been recording for over 20 years! I know what happens in a studio and i think i should have a basic idea of what a band sounds like based on my experience. You said no disrepect intended. But thats exactly what you did by trying to school me on the difference between a video and live play. But i am not offended or angry😀✌🏾
