This. I was almost disappointed to see all these actors listed at the end because now I feel like this would be better without or with minimal dialogue. I know there was dialogues in the book, but this trailer sold me on the idea of the adaptation being "silent".

@@Brejan Me too. I was immediately into this, but when i was reading more in the description and saw all the actors, i was a little nervous. Even if there's some slight speaking, i really hope the animals don't talk a lot, because it feels like it would be more Disney that way. But in the trailer you can hear a bunch of animal noises, so maybe it's just not all the time? Either way I'm really exited for this movie and can't wait. I'm really hoping to get my mom to go with me since the only one she agreed to see once was wish, (and we all know how that went) so i want to have her see this instead to make up for it

DreamWorks really has to balance out their distribution of Quality. Jokes aside DreamWorks themselves technically didn't make the new Megamind movie. That was done by DreamWorks television division, practically a whole different studio working on much smaller budgets.

Yeah. But it's not just about an amazing visual spectacle. I think goes beyond that. There is a strong Story Theme behind it. It's about overcoming our basic nature. That possibility makes us humans. This universal and true theme is very well captured in this trailer. It seems the storyteller knows clearly what he wants to tell.

As a school librarian I read this book to my students when it first came out, and they fell in love with the story. It looks like the movie is going to do it justice. Can’t wait to see it!

The fact that Dreamworks is making an artistic animated movie on the same level that Pixar used to do shows how much change the animation industry has gone through over the past decade.

It's better than Pixar. Pixar has been stagnant for the most part since Frozen came out. Art style is still very much the same for all movies since then. Could be why it is floundering. Dreamworks is capitalizing on animation thanks to different styles of projects as well as storytelling.

Congratulations to Peter Brown for being wild and wonderful! Everyone, if you have not read the amazing book this movie is based on, please do! The Wild Robot by Peter Brown is the first in his series, followed by The Wild Robot Escapes and The Wild Robot Returns. I personal think the book should have won the Newberry award.

2:04 the sound is just amazing

@@kizo5513Whilst I agree, this is more of a technofied version of What a Wonderful World, which I think fits the movie a lot better than just ‘insert orchestra here’ as seen in Marvel movies. The song itself is beautifully chosen for the movie, it’s a song about the world being wonderful in spite of its flaws, sung originally by a man who lived through both World Wars, and this cover has it sung through a robotic-sounding filter, making it seem alien and more awe-stricken than Louis Armstrong’s original vocals. This is sung as if by a robotic onlooker, first discovering the true beauty of Earth’s nature.

Now this is a movie that the world needs to see because not only can it make you cry your eyes out but shows us the true meaning of life,love & nature in the most amazing, simple-themed and honest way possible. The fact that this takes place in the eyes of a robot ( you can see the true emotionally sadness when the birds leave him 2:03-2:05) simply feels my heart with love and joy because I haven’t seen an amazing robot movie since Disney’s WALL-E and it seems like Dreamworks is walking down the right path of success. I’ve never been more excited and proud of them!

This trailer has me on the verge of tears. Something about it was just so magical and hit me right in the feels. This already feels so much more different from Dreamworks usual output. I can tell that this is gonna be really special.

No voice, no speaking, just the sound of nature and a robot, brilliant

Too bad that wall of celebrity names means the final film's going to have talking animals. I get that most audiences couldn't handle a film with no dialogue (which is why Wall-E has the humans after the first third of the film, originally it was going to be fully dialogue-free but Pixar relented), but it'd be great to see something so experimental and innovative. BUT, that said, given this appears to be by the team behind The Last Wish, I have faith that even with talking animals it'll be something amazing.

Its a blessing to see an animated film that has better animation than Disney's half-assed movies

This has me in tears from the very start! So captivating, beautiful, and like everyone said- the near no dialogue is so refreshing. I can’t wait to see it.

Me and my sister watched this trailer in the movies and we both started crying because we both have a huge appreciation for animation and art and this was just so beautiful.

For those who didn’t know, this was based one a book story which had more than 2 parts in the series. It’s called “The Wild Robot” where a Robot adopts a little duckling. I’m happy this is getting its own movie. The book was perfect. At first I thought this was a different type of story. But I realized this was based on a book that I read.

My sister bought this book and it's sequel for my daughter when she was around 5. I read it to her every night, and she loved it so much she didn't want to attend a sleepover she was invited to because she'd miss a night of hearing about Roz. It was one of the few books I legitimately enjoyed reading to her, and it was so difficult not reading ahead after she'd inevitable fall asleep. I can't wait to see this with her. I'm so happy to see it's being done by DreamWorks.

This trailer tugged at some heart strings, perfect combination of story, visuals, sound and music, can't wait to see it.

The trailer has no dialogue and it has such powerful emotional depth, and music is so emotional It made me almost cry. I have high hopes for this movie

Considering that this is the last film DreamWorks made entirely in-house, it does show how much passion and heart they put into this film. This following its unique animation style is the reason why I'm supporting this film.

Listen, I’ve gotten 3 hours of sleep in the past day, I’m in art school struggling to stay passionate about my work in my final semester of college (I love art, I love it so much it kills me). Calm the freak down. You didn't even saw the movie yet, trailers exist as MARKETING to gather interest. Companies spent MONEY almost on the same amount of the studio production just in marketing. Interest = More money back. You almost sound like someone of the marketing team. If not, CALM THE FREAK DOWN!

This has to be genuinely the most beautiful movie trailer I've seen in a long, long time.

Now that's a better Animation Chris and Dean, and it looks Amazing Wildlife!!!

For those who dont know, this is based a book series with two parts, called The Wild Robot. And I've been waiting for about 4 years for this. Edit: Thank you all for telling me about the third book, when I finished book 2, book 3 hadn't been released yet.

This movie was a book before this (I had to read it in school I think) I liked the book and has some very bittersweet themes and emotion roller-coaster of a plot, recommend anyone to read it if they hadn't before

It reminds me a bit of Iron Giant, The Bastion OW short as well with the forest, and the themes of something made apart from nature trying to coexist, while being feared as a potentially very real threat as the otters back away, And could easily tie into current ai fears as well as next to Wall-E.

This almost made me tear up. The line “We must become more than what we were programmed to be” at the end gave me chills and pretty much sums up my life right about now. This is absolutely beautiful. A pure work of art.

My honest opinion, this movie trailer is literally stunning and amazing graphics. Can't wait to watch this movie in September!

The last bastion: Made a movie. God I want to watch this movie.

This is my favorite genre of anything. Quirky robot exploration that ruins your emotions. The Iron Giant, Wall-E, Overwatch's "The Last Bastion" short... can't get enough of it.

I think animation as whole has had a down grade. But stuff like this movie are exactly what we want and need. Original ideas, beautiful and independent creativity, no boring or controversial opinions or dialogue. Happy to see it.

There's a book kinda like this called "psalm for the wild built"

We just saw this trailer at a kid’s movie today. After the trailer before it, which also had something similar to a robot (totally different themes and animation), my son said that it made him think of The Wild Robot, a kid’s novel we both adored, because wouldn’t it be great if they made a movie of The Wild Robot. You can then imagine how excited we were when the next trailer began with the robotic eye blinking open and the sea otters. I said “that’s The Wild Robot!” He said, “no…is it?” I said, yes that’s Rozz… and sure enough! The animation looks beautiful, and the trailer looks faithful to the book, which is absolutely wonderful. We are autistic, and the book really resonated with us and our other non-neurotypical friends. I teared up a little in the theater tbh. SO SO THRILLED for this movie!

Majestic, legendary no words to explain such a beautiful message that the movie gives to the new gen.

For some reason, this makes me feel old... BUT THE ANIMATION IS SO BEAUTIFUL JESUS AND ITS SO EMOTIONAL!!!!

This feels like a literal students animation project got funded majorly and is now being converted into a movie. I could not be more happy

THIS IS PURE GOLD !!!!! I literally had tears watching this beautiful animation. And that soundtrack is so captivating! Looking forward to watching this.

As someone who has read the book, (not the second, nor third sadly because it’s hard for me to get into novels) I was so excited when I heard that they were making a movie. At first I was a bit nervous, fearing that it might be not as good as the book, but seeing the trailer now makes me so eager and excited to watch it.

i dig literally everything about this. the art direction, the animation, the main character, the world, and putting that remix of "what a wonderful world" hit me like a truck. since its already a song that brings me nostalgia for nothing, this makes it hurt more.

Wow it looks pretty damn good.

The story, the setting and above all the animation of this movie looks incredibly dazzling, gorgeous, interesting and unique. There's something about Lupita N'yonga being the lead that makes it sound even better.

You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this!!!! This was my favorite book ever!!!!!!!!!

This trailer made me cry, isn't it odd how it's making so many of us cry with so few words and just music and visuals? It's tugging at something we've forgotten and long for.

Just seeing this trailer in the theater almost made me cry. This movie looks really good

I saw this trailer at the theater today and it stood out to me right away. The idea of a robot exploring and learning from nature is interesting and I’m excited to see a movie that looks like it won’t be relying on dialogue to tell its story.

Wow....a trailer for an animated movie with essentially no dialogue...got me teary-eyed. Here's hoping for all the success in the world for this film!

THE BOOK HAS TONS OF DIALOGUE

This is the best trailer I have seen in a long time! No distracting dialog, and no spoilers. Film makers have lost the art of making a true trailer, and they seem to give away too much of the plot in the viewing of this teaser of a short that is designed to catch your interest and wanting more! I am happy the art of trailer making has not completely died off! Well done, this looks like a movie I would love to see in the theater! For a trailer to evoke emotion speaks volumes!

It’s rare that a film- no, a TRAILER for a film almost made me cry, but this is special I grew up loving animals and, as a neurodivergent kid, often related more to them than to my peers. Now, I’m about to graduate and looking for a degree in ecology and/or art, which honestly isn’t a combo that I see often. But this? I can already tell this is going to be gorgeous. So dreamworks, from the bottom of my amateur field worker heart, thank you.

i remember reading this book in my elementary school. this was just a random book for silent reading but i got hooked into it. i no joke forgot the title of the book but i still remember every detail. it was until i saw this trailer at a movie theatre which surprised me because of the events that lined up with the book (the iconic robot in the wild). i am shocked that there would be a movie years later

I LOVED this book series!! I can’t wait to see this it looks gorgeous 😭😭

The Wild Robot was my favorite book when I was younger. Just the fact this movie exists means so much to me.

The title song was most apt as the amazing graphics and storyline seemed to mesh well with it. It gives you a sense of awe, peace and hope. Very nice, I could really use a cup of that right about now... looking forward to being enmeshed in the viewing.

I'll definitely be watching this. The animation is awesome, and the music in this trailer hits different.😊
