It's true even though the members are in their thirties now.
I mean, AA also stands for Alcoholics Anonymous, so it’s a fitting acronym 💀 keep up the good work buddy
Let us not forget that Ben was on the cover of Guitar World and both he and Cam got a feature in that issue. Then to top that off, they got signature model Ibanez guitars and the entire guitar community lost their minds 😂

I whole heartedly agree that ”The Match” is the most under-rated AA song
Asking is still currently one of the biggest bands in the scene, they're sitting at 2.7 million monthly Spotify listeners. To give that some context here is the rest of the scene currently... BMTH- 8.9 mil ATL - 8.3 mil ADTR - 4.7 mil Against the Current - 4.1 mil FIR - 4 mil I Prevail - 3.5 mil Asking Alexandria - 2.7 mil PTV - 2.5 mil Set It Off - 2.4 mil Sleeping With Sirens - 2.1 mil
@MrRichieRides
Жыл бұрын
Crazy that PTv is sitting at 5.5 mil now just 2 years later! Wow that’s insane and Asking Alexandria is sitting at 3.2 mil meanwhile BMTH is still sitting pretty at almost 12 mil while attack attack has 700k so crazy to me 😂cause I really never stopped listening to any of those bands but it’s crazy to me looking back that BMTH is way bigger than ATL cause I always saw ATL the more mainstream in the scene cause the music was more widely accepted haha but I guess it just goes to show how any band can break out even a decade or more after they get big 😂

V long story lmao but basically my friend was chill with their tour manager, so we all were hanging out after a show. They all introduced themselves to me (I loved their music, but I didn’t know anyone’s name besides Danny). They were surprisingly polite, not stuck up that I was literally sitting in their tour bus but didn’t know who they were. After possibly indulging in some powdery substances for my first time, they took me to a club, got me in for free, and bought me drinks all night without even hitting on me. They legit just wanted to party and be in good company. That is much more than I can say about any other band I’ve chilled with hahaha. Mad cool experience, but I couldn’t live that like everyday. I’m sober today and I hope what I read about them all being sober today is true as well :)

“I signed a girls belly button from the inside with my little pink pencil” lmaooo holy shit Danny is hilarious.
Reckless and Relentless literally saved my life when it was released. I got to meet AA face to face years after its release and told them that. Ben said he really appreciated that and gave me a hug and a pat on the back. Good dudes. Also I think "Dead" is the heaviest song AA ever released but morte et dabo is very close.
You gotta admit Drunk Asking Alexandria is funny as hell.
I seriously don't understand how you make these hour+ videos and I'm engaged the entire time. Props to you, man.

I agree “ the match “ is such an underrated track
Went though my entire main scene phase with this band. Was 14 in 09 and 16 in 2011 and man, what a ride it was. Love the video and all the breakdowns you provide. I will say for the most influential during the REAL warped tour days..would def put Blessthefall, Escape The Fate and Memphis May Fire in there too. I remember when the seattle video came out and I said it then and I'll say it now..the damage control Ben did during that set was beyond impressive. They will forever be my favorite band but man, did they tour/party themselves to a very near early grave? 100% and I'm happy they're healthy and happy now but I would love a few songs that pay homage to the early days. That being said, I LOVE their self titled and the newest album has grown on me. Love R&R and I'm not sure how much people realized how dark of a record R&R actually is.
Everything that you’ve mentioned about this version of AA and this album is SPOT ON to how I feel about it as well. It’s one of the few albums of any genre where I can listen front to back and love every single song. The Match is criminally underrated as well. Thanks for this series.

Your deep dives into these bands are awesome, dude! Looking forward to part 3 \,,/

YES!!!! You have no idea how excited I am right now lmao. Love you Cozy!!
This was just what I needed. Amazing video man! Those were the best days man.. 😄👏👏
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm queuing this one up right now! After the naive and careless beginning, this band set a new benchmark for crazy reckless stuff that in part contributed a whole lot for their music, but also hindered their survival... So amazing to see such precious memories and songs reframed under such a loving and caring perspective! You did them justice and we all thank you for it, kind sir!
these are great always. love the deep dive so much nostalgia. i kinda still really like the lyrics to the bridge of closure though.. i also really liked your all time low album review. would love to hear more of you focusing on the present!

Was waiting for this one and you did not disappoint. Been an AA fan since they added me on MySpace in summer 09 right before SUAS dropped. Cant wait for part 3 because they have such a neat history. For your next band history/rise and fall you should do Of Mice & Men
You are seriously the most genuine, relatable guy, not only when it comes to the diverse music you make videos about, but just in general! I can tell we had super similar experiences growing up with bands like Fall Out Boy and getting into the scene with A Day to Remember and Asking Alexandria. You capture how I felt during that era so brilliantly in the way you speak about it. I don't listen to a ton of scene bands anymore, but I still appreciate them. My favorite part about your channel, though, is your bias toward Fall Out Boy, because I am the same, haha. Big fan, Cozy Representative.
This was amazing dude...I was obsessed w this band back in the day so this cleared a lot of stuff up! Keep up the good work keep grinding my friend
oh my god FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR SO LONG I AM SO HYPED AAAHHHHHH
Finally it's been a month waiting for this thanks uncle julian ♥️
Ive seen like 5 of these videos so far, and I usually dont go for really long "history of this thing you like" stuff cuz I always end up disappointed. But everything this guy puts out is well researched or he has a great way of explaining what we already know. and I like how he adds stuff during post if he thinks he missed something. It really makes a long video easy to watch, cuz I just end up kind of stuck paying attention to the actual detail of the video, or just listening in to his opinion if I have to of something to do and I can just use headphones. 10/10 on the detail oriented content
@The Cozy Representative Just wanted to say, you’re awesome man. Super likable and you do great research. Love the content and thank you
