Perrin looks like he is ready to do some smithing with a leather apron and leather patches on his arms.

If they managed to make season 3 better than 2 as much as 2 was better than 1 then, we are in for a fantastic ride. *sidenote* Please don't screw up Perrin's storyline in this section :)

I think Perrin is well positioned to have his story from book 4 be pretty accurate now. I'm excited

@@andrewdemarco3512 not really. Show Perin has none of the skills or experience that his book counterpart does. He probably will have to rely on others to achieve the things that he did on his own in book 4.

Friends, we don't have to accept this shows blatant disrespect, and disregard for Roboert Jordans masterpiece and our love for it! There is no saving Perrins story because from his first minutes on screen, they changed the heart of his character. A big part of his development is learning how to be a good husband to his wife, well he's already got practice at that, not to mention he's married, but somehow is in a childish love triangle with Egwene a week later?! Not only is that disrespectful to Robert Jordan, but it's lazy, childish, writing. Please don't forget that Rafe held Perrins character hostage of we didn't stop complaining about the show. *they don't care* about the fans, the characters, or Robert Jordans' legacy. My friends, my ire is not aimed at you. It was made by and made for the creatives of the show. They trample on the story thinking they know better than us. And we seem to have the attitude of a starving man! Their may be maggots in the meat, but at least it's meat! My friends, we don't have to put up with this! 😢

I'm already done with the show. They've already abandoned the main themes and struggles of the characters. It can't be saved. Rafe is the Dark One 😅

That is fine. It is in line with Seaspn 1 and 2 being two years apart. I like that, it keeps it fresh.

Half the cast is gonna be dead of old age before this finishes, haha.

I really can't fathom why fans of the books are still excited about this show. If we want a a good adaptation of Robert Jordans novels in our life times this show needs to die, be buried, and forgotten.

I feel its overly optimistic to think we would get another adaptation. If the current show becomes dead, buried and forgotten, the likelihood of any studio wanting to touch wheel of time goes down the drain. They would think the IP doesnt have enough pull for general audiences and bury any possible ideas of future WOT adaptations

There are a few of us still hoping we'll get to see some of our favourite scenes from the books while fearing we won't, or worse, they screw them up. Even some small parts that do a character justice are nice to see, and they could redeem themselves somewhat by showing the Mat vs Couladin scene...if it's done well. _Really_ well. It was also claimed this season would be closer to the books.

@mirar5053 I'm terrible at conveying tone in prose. That said, please, I consider this an argument among friends even if it gets a bit spirited 😅. I have to point out that we have had some really bad adaptions of LotR, Narnia, and Golden Compass that crashed and burned. Not to mention the dumpster fire that was GoT's ending. They are all examples of failed adaptions that got, and are getting a second chance! So there is very good precedence for successful, quality reboots. That said, why should we settle for an insultingly bad adaption of the 3rd (behind HP, and LotR) bestselling fantasy series of all time? I absolutely refuse the attitude of "its a turd, but at least it's gold plated!"

@haplozetetic9519 I can appreciate that sentiment. There are brief moments where you get a glimmer of the story we all love, but as it turns out it a rhinestone in turd. Why should I give them my devotion when they promised a faithful adaption and then completely change the heart of the characters and themes? It's the classic hallmark of an abusive relationship. They promise to do better next time, but it's more of the same. Speaking of abusive, when Rafe threatened to make Perrin gay if we didn't stop complaining, that's a classic tactic of an abuser! Legitimate complaints or not, joking or not, that's a clear demonstration he doesn't care about Perrin as character or how the fans feel about the drastic changes he made. Despicable and disrespectful treatment of Robert Jordan's work. Rafe doesn't own it. He is a steward of it. We fans need to stand up for Wheel of Time and not be bullied by Rafe.
