@@KimBTV I'm glad you did. In the video, the woman actually represents his fans, where she literally "has his back" and as more of a gift to us, the flashes in that video was a photoshoot. That very moment from that very photoshoot became the cover for Trilogy. Henceforth, in the occasional video, he'll have a woman that kinda stands out in one way or another. That woman, though never the same woman, is the representation of us. For example, one day, when you watch the video for Can't Feel My Face, you'll spot her for a second.

@@KimBTV to answer your initial question lol, his original producers Doc Mckinney and Illangelo gave him such a unique sound and vibe. That darkness in the instrumental is what made Abel for me as an artist. I'll always be in love with that over the more "pop" sound he's taken up, though he's still kept his trademark vibe and darkness in most of his music. After Hours and the EP prior to that album, My Dear Melancholy, are blends of the pop while returning to his roots, as after Trilogy & KissLand, the music itself has evolved to sound lighter, maybe in reflection to him being closer to the limelight of successfulness. The sound is more cinematic and a much larger budget. Even in the songs he's featured on with other artists, the production alongside Abel's vocals almost makes them his own tracks. You'll see once you react to his one-off tracks and his features.

Birds Part 1 was both a threat and a promise. He made a career of the after effects lol. Birds Part 2 is my favorite of the two. Though I know he says she's Pleading, it sounds like he's saying she's Bleeding. Dark song overall. It's still up to everyone's own interpretation.

Thursday as a whole, I'm hearing is more and more growing as a favorite. HoB is my personal favorite, and I read that Abel prefers this one over this and the next one Echoes Of Silence. @@KimBTV just know he's well known and famous for his opening and closing tracks on each of his albums. They're, in most cases, very powerful and cinematic. Echoes and each album going forward will show how much.

To add to this, he later said that he sang the girl's part with Lana Del Rey in mind because he feels that Lana in her music encapsulates the women's perspective well. The two of them inspire each other artistically and have an interesting working relationship. It's worth checking out some of her stuff if you haven't yet!

I absolutely love all the songs on thursday but my tops has to be the zone, lonely star, birds pt.1, Thursday

Heaven or Las Vegas is self indulgence but does tie into his current music and videos.

to put the birds 2 beginning into perspective (since you rewound back to the beginning of the song) when it starts and the girl is crying(she loads the gun) then she cocks it back (as she's still crying) and as the beat starts is when the gun actually fires.

Gone is 7 mins of the Weekend being on drugs, the idea with Thursday was to prove that HOB was not a fluke and his team can just make hits with ease. He's said in interviews he doesnt even know what he really said at some points, they just recorded it in one take, also XO is the Weeknds Clique and now label similar to Drakes OVO, XO stood for XTC and OxyCodone
