Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). You will also find almost all the classical music composers that wrote for the classical guitar. Make sure to discover Agustin Barrios Mangoré, Manuel Maria Ponce, Heitor Villa-Lobos and many more if you don't know their compositions already You can find our showroom in 76137 Karlsruhe, Roonstr. 31, Germany

    They're all lovely, but that Turkowiak is the winner here to my ears. The clarity and attack from the strings pops off the fretboard like it's three dimensional.

    Otto makes amazing 10 string guitars as well. See Moments played on a 10 string made by him and played by Anthony Graham Devine. I will order that instrument next year. Unfortunately I don't have it the 15th of December when I play my composition for decacorde in the Consertgebouw in Amsterdam.

    "Mensur" (63 cm) is the word for the range of the Guitar and not "skale"! In German we say "Die schwingende Saitenlänge" = The swinging length of the String (String-Length).

    Technicalities, sure, range but all guitarists everywhere call it, and know it as scale length. You ask a guitarist about his guitar’s range, and he will be like: Say what?

    Otto Rauch tops the list in my opinion. Just beautiful to listen to. The first few bars of your practice sounds like Damien Rice tribute to Leonard Cohen’s song “The famous Blue Raincoat “. Played on KZread as A tribute to Leonard in Montreal. Let me know what the title of that tune was?

    I thought the Rauch was amazing, the Connor and the Hanika were also very nice. The Hanika does not seem to lose much in terms of power or sustain etc. for being a 630 scale. One thing though - a Torres cedar model? as far as I know Torres never built a cedar guitar.

    Even though Rauch was musical with a nice voice, the first with maple bits & extra sound port would be an excellent choice for a Master player. The sound is audible, sophisticated. However, it needs a lot of use for it to settle & find it's own unique voice. An impressive instrument.

    Jouyan, why are you mad bro? No one has heard that name before; it is uncommon in Western culture, and the way you pronounce it does not help either, so we just say what we hear, or the closest sounding thing to us which of course is Julian, and that is a fine name. About the esthetically pretty guitars from today: you know, Santos Hernandez, Antonio de Torres, and Enrique Garcia are turning in their graves, thinking: this is the improvement of our guitars? My God!

  • @niceguitar6144

    @niceguitar6144

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Konstantin Ridaya The “why are you mad bro “ is a reference to a funny after game interview with Richard Sherman, an American football cornerback, and I don’t expect European listeners to know it. I could have chosen a better one. The guitars from today, I simply don’t like that sound. To me the older guitars by the makers I mentioned are so much superior. These guys spent a lot of time on making their guitars but that alone doesn’t make them great sounding ones; but then again, we’re all different, and we all like different things.

    @Konstantin Ridaya hahaha Jerry Rice is my relative. I did not get your satirical reference because I never called him the wrong name. I have never directly addressed him in any of my comments. I’m not at all an American, I’m a first generation immigrant in America. Looking back, and witnessing the globalist mess the US has become, I’m starting to reevaluate

  • @niceguitar6144

    @niceguitar6144

    @Konstantin Ridaya in their times they did, and they made perfect guitars. They tried innovation, as the romantic and Vienna guitars needed improvement. Torres and Garcia do not need improvement. The today sound is a clear indication that the search for improvement by modern guys has failed. Typically you are alright mate but today I’m beginning to lose patience.
