Wow! Finally we can see more of the Master's work. He is the original one that brangs big brushes and happiness to the wet on wet technique. I like Bob Ross and all the other painters on KZread but without Bill, they would not be there. He need more recognition!

Bill never fails to trigger my inspiration, I rewatch over and over and still get a giggle, and he makes me think I can create fantastic works. Actually So much so that I had to stop watching his videos before bed, my mind goes into creation mode and I stay up painting all night🤣 thank you so much for sharing💕

I love the contrast between Bill and Bob, how Bill taught Bob the technique. Its obvious where Bob had gotten a lot of his mannerisms...happy this/happy that, almighty, ect. Both doing the same thing but miles and miles apart in final results. I love them both. I would describe Bill as more of a "messy" painter, with Bob more towards a "clean and sharper " painter. I hope no one takes that as a insult to Bill, but its just, I think, a good way to describe these 2 men.

Zachary Avila its totally the opposite, bob was More of a teacher and he succeeded because he worked at the viewers pace. Bill works at his pace and made mor detailed paintings. Bobs paintings are around 20 mins while bills are around 30 mins. Taken this all into account bill detailed his paintings more with detailing his paintings such as detailing his shadows while bob just blurs it, while bobs viewers find it easier to do. Hope you understand.

My paternal grandfather worked in oils and had a very meticulous, detailed style. Bill's method is an antidote to that. Maybe some day I'll be able to try my hand and come up with a synthesis between Grandpa's tight & Bill's loose and free methods. Thanks for sharing! These videos really bring me back to my childhood watching Bill on PBS.

Fragrance of life huh? Poor artists who really can paint, and create spectacular works, who get no credit or admiration of any kind, and this Mess,( sorry ) is the Fragrance of life? No wonder there are so many missing ears in the art community!!! Show me just one credible artist who thinks this painting can be categorized as Art, unless they use the term in its widest, most "elastic" sense. Is it just that you think he was a nice old man? Well, ok if you knew him personally. Did you? But I'm talking about ARTISTIC TALENT! We have gone nuts with the Ross thing and this. "But they relax me" you say. Take a fricken xanax.

Bob Ross learned from him. You can see how Bob picked some traits from Alex, even the way Bob dressed was inspired by Alex wearing simple blue color shirts. The word "Mighty" was also stolen hahaha 😂 😂 😂 Notice how *Alex beats the devil* too.
