Didn't expect to feel for Jadis, but that speaks to the writing of this show. They really make each significant character matter. Very well done.

It was so cool to see Gabriel again. I wasn’t expecting it at all

The flashback to her art, to her love of being creative in the midst of an apocalypse, the reminder of her anguish when she found the Saviors had literally ground up her entire artist colony, was heartbreaking. She wished she'd died as an artist instead of as a soldier for the CRM. That's so real for so many people driven into the arms of military service for safety and to have a community. Beautiful exit for Ann/Jadis. Gabriel is so unlucky in love! I got sad over him, too, as I remember how young he was when he was discovered in The Wire.

This show needs an Emmy, and Andrew Lincoln deserves the Outstanding Lead Actor award.

Really liked this episode, the pace is starting to pick up so nicely and seeing Rick back to full form is awesome “How about you just listen?” Felt very Season 5/6 TWD Cocky Rick Jadis’ death was done really well, I did feel kinda sorry for her but at the same time she brought it on herself It was great to see Gabriel too (One of my fave character journeys in the entire main show) and it added alot more layers to their relationship that we didn’t get to see

That end scene with Gabe waiting for Anne had me in tears.

I’m in the very, VERY small minority of folks who actually like Anne/Jadis & this episode HURT. This is the best Walking Dead content we’ve gotten in years

This was a great arch for Anne/Jadis. Didn't expect to see Gabriel in this, but the way they looped him in to complete Jadis/Anne's arch worked well.

Well, every "who is it?" theory was wrong..in the best way! So good to see Gabriel again! And I loved that "Jadis", because of Gabe's visits with her, and reminding her of who she really is on the inside, died as herself, Anne. Coincidence that it took Michonne to push Rick into remembering who he really is too? I think not Fabulous episode!

When Jadis first meets Gab 3yrs ago it was when Rick cut his hand. If you remember RJ's age you can follow the timeline.

Andrew and Danai knew they had to remove Jadis from the franchise before she ruined it lmao

@@Phyfoee I don't think they will, they kept saying in the beginning the fans will get a very satisfying ending to their story. It would be pointless to have done the series, they could have just left the show as is. Rick at the CRM and Michonne looking for him, at the very least the fans knew they both were still alive.

Actually have always hated Jadis but I cried at the end of her story. Pollyanna really sold the conflict. I won't miss Jadis but I am sad she could never find her side until it was too late.

They've done a fantastic job with keeping us guessing cuz nobody thought the person that was going to be in this episode from TWD was Father Gabriel. Everyone was thinking Morgan. And I personally think that the character development they keep giving us in this series if top tier stuff. I really enjoyed the Jadis/Anne focus and like it was Michonne to bring Rick back, it had to be Gabriel to bring Anne back. This series really does have EVERYTHING. Drama, romance, suspense, comedy. If it doesn't win some awards, the system is definitely rigged.

After this episode i'm getting even more worried that one of them will end up dying or at the very least in a very very tragic situation...'cause if the last episode started to slightly worry me about this, lingering this much into the happy things is now scaring the crap of out of me!

Jadis/Anne was such a complex character throughout the entire show. Magnificent actress, Pollyanna McIntosh. Gabe over the years (which would have been post season 11 TWD so no cheating) was an increidble choice, loved seeing him.

Another 10/10 episode this show is amazing

@Midnight, I get what you’re saying and I agree as well but timeline wise if they (Rick and michonne) did go back to Alexandria, wouldn’t that put them in the commonwealth arc which they are not present for.

This episode was quiet, but still full of edge of seat moments. Seth Gilliam was a nice, nostalgic breath of fresh air. I halfway thought we would see Aaron (Ross Marquand) in the last moments of the show, but this was spot on considering Gabriel’s history with Anne/Jadis. This was a nice conclusion to a complex and interesting character. Well written and impeccably acted. Bravo Pollyanna McIntosh. I didn’t like it as much and the previous ones, but I would still rate a high 8.5/10. The 3 travelers in the woods that tried to hold them up, took it down a bit for me. They felt stuck in the middle of a story, and kinda out of no where. In the end they served a purpose, albeit a sad one.

I literally yelled at my tv when Father Gabriel popped on my screen lol that was a good surprise. I hate we only have one more episode smh this is the best Walking Dead in years

.... This Episode was so beautiful and hit me to the core man. Hit my little walking dead heart so hard. We are legit caught up in the Timeline officially and crazy what happens in this one. I SCREAM CRIED.

I’ve never watched any of The Walking Dead before other than YT shorts clips and this is the first series I’ve ever started watching, I been watching it whenever yall release it, I love it.

If they don't both make it back to their kids I'm going to revolt!!!

From what I've read the budget for each of these episodes are about $13.7 Million whereas the main show was LUCKY to get between 3-4 Mill when it wasn't a finale, and MAYBE a $7-8 Million for finales.

Fun fact The actor that played father Gabriel. The first project anyone ever saw him in was Starship Troopers most likely

Michonne cut Jadis with the ax, the walker bit a hole in her neck, and Rick shot her in the head. She should have just went and seen Gabe, and left the power couple alone.

My fear with a season 2 is that it opens the door to mar a perfect story. I stopped watching the original show around the time Carl died. It was not my cup of tea anymore at that point. But this show has been perfect for me. I am honestly hear for the Rick and Michonne story and nothing else. But the other stories in this show have actually drawn me in.

I’m surprised you stopped after Carl died because the season afterward was top tier walking dead.

But why would they cast a titan like Terry O'Quinn only for him to show up for an overall total of about 4 minutes airtime? Also, I don't think the finale will make up for his scant appearances so far.... There HAS to be a season 2.

It's so annoying that Gabriel didn't say something like "oh wow it's so funny that you mentioned Michonne out of nowhere cuz I just so happen to have this ring on me." Also I would have liked for Michelle to not have remembered about the toothpaste and have to be reminded. Little things like that.

OMG There are actually webisodes from early on in TWD Universe that show some of Rick's old family photos, Shane, etc. within a storage locker! It's in the realm with the Bicycle girl & red machete as well as the Flight one with Fear TWD...PLUS I really hope Judith gets the chance to watch the Alexandria Audition tapes some day because that would be a FANTASTIC callback for us & for her because she said she is starting to forget their voices :(. I loved the arc in "Clear" 3x12 where Carl had to go to that local diner style place where Michonne helped him obtain the last known family photo of Rick, Lori & Carl for Judith...that is probably just sitting back in the prison still though.

Is it just me or does it feel like a season 2 is coming?? I love Gabriel but it just makes no sense to me to waste time with a flashback Gabriel and jadis romance. Especially when you only have 1 episode to finish Rick and michonne story. Honestly it felt random and came out of nowhere. And there’s no way they take down the CRM in 1 episode.

You didn't understand that Gabe always reminded Jadis of who she really is on the inside, Anne. Because of that, Anne told Rick and Michonne where her file was so they could save themselves and Alexandria. Gabe was necessary to the story..

I hated Gabriel AND Eugene at first, but they became some of my favorite characters. Especially Eugene in the last season. Their character development has been phenomenal.

Has it ever been known til this episode that Jadis painted the portraits of everyone?? Of our Glen baby 😭❤ what a great touch!! I forgot to mention this before! This episode was AMAZING! The finale will be insane. I was truly happy that our returning character was someone from the main show! I LOVED to see that Gabriel was the returning character! It's so fitting. Jadis always loved Gabriel, and from what we know now, she has been working for them/trading with them the entire time basically! And seeing Gabriel's perspective of her disappearing and then after everything she did to him? Almost traded him to the CRM bit by a walker! I really hoped Rick, Michonne and Gabriel would have crossed paths this episode. It wouldve been insane to see Gabriel be the one to kill Jadis. I called the walker bite from episodes away though 😂 Now we will have to deal with Pearl and General Beale next episode, for sure. I wonder if they will both live through the finale?! What do y'all think?

The Jadis turn is something I felt was coming AND necessary. The way they delivered on it with Gabriel’s story was brilliant! My least favorite episode so far, but still fantastic. It’s almost over! 😭
