And a nice person to boot. A pity te music industry won't recognise talent if it hasn't got feathers and bellsto identify their "talent." Sally really deserves a career in music. She is in my personal favourite contenders in The Voice world-wide.

Because of singers like her, I really think we need sir Tom on the voice. Tom is the only one of the coaches who can make people like Sally even better.

I don't share this kind of statement ever. It is very unusual for me to express an extreme statement as this but I think she has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Period.

Beautiful voice. She didn’t show off. Ie scream out high notes. She respected the melody and the lyrics and delivered both with beauty. And THAT is what a good artist should do.

Sally sings with emotion, and a treasured heart. Such a lovely voice

I have heard this song so many times, but never this hauntingly beautiful. So many people can sing & sound good but when this kind of emotion is added, it takes it to a higher level.

One of the most beautiful Voice I've ever heard

This clearly shows WHY none of these type shows should have an age limit

just pure magic. I totally understand how Tom felt. maybe it's from being older but her voice just captures the highs and lows that have only been experienced by people that have lived and lost through the years.

I can’t believe this was 9 years go and I’ve only just discovered Sally. I’ve watched lots of old clips but this has blown me away ❤

Sally’s voice is exquisite and rare! Tom Jones has heard the best in his lifetime. He recognized just how good she is!

Sally when you awaken the soul of a legend (Tom) you can see how early your voice touched his soul, very well done!

That song has been recorded so many times, but that's gotta be one of the best versions. And it was live.

At the age of 70 something(ME)...Sally has truly one of the most beautiful voices I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and listening to. All are blessed to hear her!

The exquisite voice of an artist given to the seasoning of time and endurance of the heart. Much to be admired!!

This was SUCH a lovely moment.

i know what they mean when they say she sung with emotion...like i've never heard this song before and i could just relate to it so much in her singing it...it was great...i nearly cried

I am always moved by the voice of this angel, her life heart and soul is in every song she sings, so palpable it is almost ridiculous. In the open air her voice could bring a flock of doves down from the heavens to pay court.

Out of all of them I would want Tom to turn around. He was the only judge that had the experience and ear for great talent. and they bloody SACKED HIM! What were you thinking BBC? He was the only reason I watched it. I will never watch it again without Tom. Big mistake BBC.

They let him go because he did not turn around often enough and he was forced to turn for contestants he would not have chosen otherwise. This presumably lead to an uneasy situation where the decision was finally made to part ways. In that perspective it is quite understandable.

If you can make Tom Jones tear up during a blind audition, you have truly been given a gift. She should have won, followed by Christina Marie, but She's been opening for Tom and I think she's going to be just fine.

I'm late to the party so to speak, but I would have to say that she may not have won the competition but she did take the trophy. Touring with Sir Tom Jones? I think she got the better end of the stick.

Such a beautiful haunting voice. It's sad that talent like this is nit heard often anymore. i am always reminded of the phrase from a song " video killed the radio star" mainstream music today is so immersed in visual effects, dancing, fashion etc that the voices of far too many famous entertainers are really mediocre. I believe the world hungers for that talent that touches the soul. Something beyond visual stimulation.

Her voice is so beautiful. ♥

Her and Tom are a great team....I am ready for it......

And Tom ever and alwa2 being a gentleman assists this wonderful lady with a beautiful lady down the steps.

I can never get through her beautiful songs without this waterwork thing going on with my eyes. Who needs Optrex!

Probably most beautiful voice i´d ever hear in The Voice... and not only in UK. She is full of emotion, full of experience...Awesome tone who touched my soul. Only a bundle of songs makes me cry... Sally Barker performing "Dont let me be misunderstood" is one of them. Congratulations Sally from Spain

Love the camaraderie between the judges. Though they are in competition with each other on the Voice, and probably, each one is dying to press the, "I want you", button. They show utmost respect for Sir Tom's evident emotion while Sally sang, and let her go to his team. RESPECT for the Judges!

Never heard a more haunting, wonderful voice on any "Voice" program.

I have checked known artist that sang this song and she's the only one that really moved me. The original which I believe is the animal was blah to me but she took this song to a higher level! Describing her performance as beautiful is an understatement. There is no superlatives that can describe her performance. Brilliant and thank you for posting this.

Sally!!! You always make me cry. Don't know how many times I watched this and every time my heart just brakes!just gorgeous.

she's so good. I love her voice and the way she sings. Like ricky said "old soul". Really Beautiful !

I understood why no one turned, except Tom and that was at the very last second. Because it would be utterly disrespectful to interrupt her. That was a rare Voice moment that deserved undivided attention.

I am sure that there are many people, like myself, that are so pleased that Sally has included her momentous interpretation of this classic song on her new C.D. The C.D., titled 'Love Rat', is due for release on 14th September 2015. Also included is her emotive reading of 'Walk On By', plus four new songs she has written. This will be a C.D. to love and cherish methinks.

It would be an honor to see Sally perform

It's amazing. No matter how many times I watch her sing, I cry. Other singers have briefly had that effect with a song here or there, but it goes away after around three times of hearing it. Not Sally, I cry whenever she sings.

Tom hit the nail on the head! Love her version. She put her heartache in the song it really moved me to tears as well as Tom.

Every time I watch this audition I get teary eyed. Really gonna miss Sir Tom next season. He was the only judge who showed any real emotion on the show.

I still look this up to play from time to time. Tom is such a gentleman let alone living Legend and Sally is so angelic and easy on the ear.

Not rly, shes the real gentleman(woman). They agreed that she has pure voice and they both would push the buttons but she let him coach her, because she knew they would be a great match together. Which they did.

my god, that was so beautiful. so heart wrenchingly pure and haunting...love this lady.

She puts more emotion and understanding in her singing than anyone on the voice. I wish they did a studio version of this song, It is truly exquisite.

I'm noticing that she sing this more like a jazz Standard than pop song in that the the beat/pace of the song is controlled by her pace rather than being a slave to beat as pop is. I would love to hear in interpretation of Nina Simone "Feeling Good" although her best ones tend to be the sad one

Sally included this song on an EP called 'Love Rat' that she issued about a year ago. She has also just made available her latest album, titled 'Ghost Girl', which is utterly fabulous. Both can be purchased from Amazon.

Wow she really remastered that song. I remember listening to it on the radio when I was a kid. I'm now in love with this version. Beautiful voice

I'm pretty certain the other 3 Judges didn't turn as they realised they did not have the experience necessary to take on such an experienced and incredible talent. I sensed great relief when they saw Sir Tom turn his chair as they genuinely wanted Sally in the show but without the responsibility of trying to take her talent forward. I was so relieved Sally got her moment in the sun again and would pay good money to see her perform.

I have to say, here tone was amazing! Her delivery was unique from the original, and I thoroughly agree with all of the judges' opinions and the fact that she and Tom were paired up. I also must note that I admire the respect and professional courtesy that is afforded to every contestant. Each one is treated as a peer, not some upstart subordinate.

what a wonderful mood everyime when I listen to this version I am going to get is simply overwhelming. Pure class, old school as it can never be copied by someone else. MAGIC
