What strikes me most about his voice is how controlled his vibrato sounds under all of that grit and gravel. He's got phenomenal technique.

Oh yea, from my experience singing in the shower it's very hard to hold a vibrato when adding grit to my voice

It's really annoying knowing this and hearing people say he can't sing.
I can tell he is a phenomenal singer with an underrated voice.
It was always funny to me how he wrote Martha too low for his range (at the time) and he struggled to sing it live... Of course his voice got lower in later years, I am pretty sure you can find an E1 in Lucinda in 2008 :)

what part? Was it the “and leaves it only to die”?

@@camwestfall918 Yes and it appears other times in the song, I was thinking of "and lead"

I think you mean "GOD"
There is also a G#7 in the song "Metropolitan Glide". It would leave a huge range gap, but there's nothing really wrong with the note other than that.

Nah it's a really bad note, definitely not worth including.

@@WLord1310 Aside from its brevity and large degree of separation from the rest of his range, I don’t see anything wrong with the note.

@@snowberryYT You just wrote exactly why it's a terrible note. Also, randomness/no real musical context.

Yea it's not worth including it, he is still an amazing singer
