The Villages: Traffic Circle 101

I thought I depart from the normal real estate video just this once. We are approaching busy season here in The Villages, and I thought I would give a refresher on the rules of the traffic circle and how to protect yourself from others who don't know the rules.

    Thanks for the video. It would be great if the roundabouts were actually painted like this example. Showing very clearly that the right lane is always a right turn only as it approaches an ‘exit’ from the roundabout. Now that I have looked again, it appears that the first right ‘exit’ is not a right turn only situation. So the striping on the roundabout isn’t accurate. Now I’m confused.

    Just follow the rules that I laid out. If you are in any other intersection, you are in the right hand lane to turn right, left lane to turn left. My contribution to the rules are basically to avoid the most common mistake of someone trying to turn left from the right hand lane. So, I recommend being in the right hand lane to go straight to avoid this mistake by others.
