I think the mindfulness aspect of the first part of the stories is sooo important! It is so relaxing to be put into a “safe space” before the story starts. So relaxing & peaceful. Thank you for your creativity! 🤍 can’t wait to fall asleep to this.

The part about peace living within us is wonderful too because we lose our peace often in the day or should I say, we let people and worries make us forget it's there but learning to anchor into that peace brings a natural relaxation 😌 😊. The gratitude reminder brings happiness and peace also because we strive so much for things we want to attain in life but often times we forget about the beautiful blessings we already have.

@@christierichardson2841 Very true. Sometimes we forget that most of the beautiful things in life are free, such as a walk in the park or a stroll by the ocean.

Just one idea of story for you : an old village doctor visiting patients, he’s very devoted, very caring, he never says no to go out even in a middle of a snow storm , he’s very skillful even for delivering babies. Many thanks again , I must say that my English has improved since I listen to you . 🥰

Thanks so much for these stories. They help me relax and sleep better than anything else I’ve heard. I do have one suggestion. When you introduce the relaxation portion before the story begins, you usually say something like “and now let’s do the relaxation session, which will take a few minutes.” To me, this gives it the feel of a chore, something to be endured. Maybe instead you could try “and now, let’s take a few moments to relax before our story begins.” That sounds much more inviting!

Listening to this made me think - old trades - a seamstress, one that made all types of clothes but her specialty is night clothes. All kinds. Practical, silky, kids and adults. And instead of elves or gnomes that help her, maybe fairies. And maybe her friend, the cloth weaver has her own set of sprites or fairies that weave love and peace into their fabric. Silly ideas but they popped into my head.

I love the idea of meeting more people performing old trades. The gondola making trade in Venice, Italy might be a good one to feature in a story. The skills used to be passed down through families, if I remember correctly. Perhaps being in the shop, meeting the family, then taking a quiet, calming ride with the sounds of the water lapping would make for a restful story?

Some young folks that are very near to my heart showed me some photographs of a glass-blowing workshop that they had attended, given by an elderly glassblower in her fabulous workplace in the Rotterdam harbour. The process, as my friends described it, seemed to me to require an unbelievably delicate handling of glass, breath, and of course: fire. Their experience brought you to mind, so I mentioned your story-telling mastery and promised that I would suggest glass-blowing as a topic for a story. So, would you consider writing a story about glass blowing, for inspiration and relaxation? Of course, the born, bred ('n buttered) boisterous Rotterdam character of a glass-blower might need a little adaption - too fiery o fall asleep to, perhaps - and so may the setting of the docks, but hey - I don't need to tell you how to make a story perfect for both listening and falling asleep to... Anyway, bless you, Stephen, and thank you for your work.
