I have followed Mariah since the 90’s, it wasn’t until recent years that I have noticed her spiritual side in her writing, outside of songs like like Fly Like A Bird and Make It Happen. Even though it was plain as day in the lyrics of Vision of Love! 😂

There is power in the word. I miss singing Psalm passages with the choir i was in. It was Trinity Cathedral Episcopal church singing anglican music surrounded by wonderful singers but also very kind people. I remember hearing the overtones and feeling the vibration of sound bouncing back to u. I remember my heart was racing & then a calmness came. I truly felt my pain go away. I love Mariahs voice as well as mine singing spiritual music bc the words have power to uplift when u mean it when u sing it. Amen.🙏

You fucking idiot Mariah’s genius interview (from late 2018) is one of her best interviews ever so tell me what you’re talking about. It all depends on if the interviewers are respectful and know their stuff. Mariah has always been articulate in interviews even during her more turbulent times (2015-2017)
