BORIS KARLOFF IS THE MASTER PEICE OF HORROR
I only discovered Veil, and Thriller, a few weeks ago. What a treat! Never knew Boris Karlof, was SUCH a wonderful, character actor! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks to Wikipedia I now know why I did not see these as a child. Thanks also to our host for sharing them with fine quality so I may enjoy each one in my senior years.👻🎥🤗 The Veil is an American horror/supernatural anthology television series hosted by and starring Boris Karloff and produced in 1958 by Hal Roach Studios, very similar to Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond. Production was abandoned after ten episodes had been made, which were never broadcast or shown in syndication in their original format. However the episodes were compiled into three feature-length anthologies which were broadcast in the late 1960s. The original episodes have subseqently been released on DVD.

But l count 12 episode's on this site..not 10 were 2 more made so that it would be an even 4 episode's per anthology?
@CammieInOz
Жыл бұрын
@@robertrachels1870 you're correct. 12 , not 10, episodes were produced "For many years, it was thought that only those 10 episodes of The Veil had been produced, and that two extra titles that were cited in reference sources ("The Vestris" and "Whatever Happened to Peggy?") were just "alternate titles". "The Vestris" was a backdoor pilot for The Veil which aired separately as a 1958 episode of ABC-TV's anthology series Telephone Time and thus was the only episode ever aired. (Whatever Happened to Peggy? just disappeared from all of the later VHS video compilations for some unknown reason.)" infor source: IMDb

My absolute all time favorite Christmas animated video is How The Grinch stole Christmas, narrated by Boris Karloff

Karloff captured the blackness of the tiny heart of the Grinch, and the pureness of CindyLou's warm heart.
This is the best episode! but if you like Boris Karloff and Thriller you will like the rest of the episodes. It's ashame this wasn't made into a TV series! Karloff claimed he was never paid for series!

Unseen Force. That went unexplained. But led to a balance well worth the end of the story
The hostess was a spitting image of Gale Storm. Boris never resembled the Frankenstein monster more than when he first confronts his wife in the club. His sideburns even resemble the two electrodes on the monster. The series is excellent but it would have been better served with a memorable theme music.

Mistake took the life of the wife in question. A lost friend a lost dear and a log at Sea in search of his arm mate
Boris is a bit of a prat in this one.
Karloff slightly reminds me of Mel Gibson
Why do you have food on the table and the Gloucester captain , it’s the same episode posted twice.

Somehow. the Veil series just didn't seem have best writing or storylines although Boris Karloff starred in almost every episode. And that massive fireplace like portal into Underworld

I'm greatly the above lady who went justly angry at her Capt who went a missing till dinnertime. & Thou ????
All the evil ones were executed.
eh.
oh this story was pretty bad, and the acting from Boris was fairly lame as well - I would love to have re-written 80% of this - definitely would have gotten rid of the ridiculous snakes - I think I would have had his wife dead from the very beginning - but show her as a ghost appearing every now and then while Boris was out at sea - slowly but surely the visions could have driven Boris to madness and then he would have had the chance to do some real acting - at any rate, I finally would have had Boris so consumed by fear and guilt that he believed he could redeem himself by jumping overboard into the sea to save his wife who appears to be drowning and crying for help - but again since she is a ghost it would be to no avail - and the last thing shown by the camera would be the circling shark fins and Boris' cries of terror - the END

Boris Karloff and lame acting should never be used in the same sentence. Never.
that was lame
These Beyond the Veil episodes would be a lot better if there were no Boris Karloff in them. He was perfect as the Frankenstein monster because portraying the character required no acting ability.
