I agree with the others, Bette Davis was an incredible actress. No one was like her.
She had that “ Walk “ already which came to perfection in Baby Jane !

I was just commenting about "...Baby Jane"! Wasn't she unforgettable?! Wow, not a lot of actresses could have pulled that off! You'd have thought there was a hidden camera watching these lives play out in real time! The director, Robert Aldrich went on to direct her in "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte" (which originally costarred Joan Crawford as well but who was replaced by Olivia de Havilland).
One of my all time favorite actresses, she had this certain something about her.

Wow! Betty Davis is an extraordinary actress! This short film was outstanding! The main character was very self absorbed. She had no human relationships other than employees providing services for her. It was sad to see her treating her dog as if she were a human! What happened to the employee was horrific.

Loved those Betty Davis movies 🎥! Combined with Hitchcock suspense, it keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat. Having wealth doesn’t mean it’s ok to be stupid and assuming. She should’ve hired a detective for $500+ to investigate first. And been prepared for her eternity as she was for doggy care. Romans 10:9-10

The policeman is the same actor who played the obnoxious real estate client in “Psycho” who Janet Leigh stole the $40,000 in cash from.
Kind of spoilers so don't read until after the end: She did not deserve this. Yes. She made a mistake. She shouldn't have said she saw him. She didn't. She was wondering why the dog didn't bark, and she had just experience a guy demanding money from her for someone that had nothing to do with her and him being pissy about it. Yes she did not give him the money out of jealousy, but she was under no obligation to help him. She had already paid him for two weeks of services and he came and demanded yet another week's pay! He did not even ask her nicely for the money for his fiancee. He was a bum. I cannot balem her for thinking it was him that stole from her. She made a mistake based on an assumption that was based on real information about him. Yes he lost a year and yes his fiancee died, but if her situation was really bad she was going to die regardless. His fiancee is not on the character. She apologized and she tried (if we believe her) to get him his job back and she gave him $500! He makes 70 a week. $500! At the time that would have allowed him to move financially. Why even go back to work there? Once her body is discovered, guess what? He may run but he cannot hide. No one is stupid, not even the detective that was grossed out by her, he will know he did it. If there is fingerprint testing at the time, he doomed himself to a life long imprisonment or death penalty because he was angry at her. It was a good couple of episodes. No she did not deserve that. She tried to make amends.
Something tells me Ms. David based her character in this episode on Joan Crawford!
That voice of Betty Davis! None like it!
Very good... Thankyou.. Ashame it ended that way....Poor Eddie... 🙄
Y’know, I thought the ending would be that Eddie would actually rob Miss Fox and she would identify him, but nobody would believe her because of last time, so he got his revenge. That would’ve been the perfect ending, I believe!

With all that happened before, it made sense to her that it was him. He did not even ask her if she was ok. He showed no concern for her. His attitude was bad from beginning to end.
