I agree, thank you for pointing that out. I wonder if this was/is a generational thing( per the time of these films) . I was adopted and my adoptive mother was in her late forties when she adopted me. Whilst she would never hang up on me without saying goodbye, all of her friends would just hang up ( on me) when the conversation appeared to be over without saying goodbye...I always thought it was very abrupt and very rude…

Great idea using double boiler for cocoa. 👍
Trivia on Internet Movie Database mentioned Everett Sloane's appearance in this. Some thought it was just a bad makeup job, but, but I disagree. I've seen a bunch of his work from the mid-1950's (like Patterns) and he didn't have what looks like a significant suntan and such puffy (his right side especially) cheeks. An really prominent and wrinkled-looking eye bags... I heard he had plastic surgery at one point and was wondering if he had swelling from that, but I don't know what year he had the surgery. Tablet Magazine, an online source mentioned: "In the years following the filming of Citizen Kane, Sloane embarked on a series of plastic surgeries to reduce the size of his nose and thereby, he imagined, broaden the range of acting roles available to him."
You can call me Ray or you can call me Jay but ya donts have to call me Johnson. I say bring back those pointy, Buick style headlight bras! Always good for a double take...
Kookoo for Coco!
