Herbie needed jump jets...

I can always count on the BPL to provide late night cozy entertainment.

The storytelling in this is masterful, from the way herbie crashes because it's the only one without jump jets, to the way the dumpster closes its lid like it's a cockpit hatch, to the way you can tell it's a Jade Falcon urbie just from the way it looks.

You go little trashcan, chase your dreams through the stars😂 Seriously though this was unironically way better than I ever would have expected, you've done it again Tex, wll done. Also you picked somehow the perfect music for this lol, I might have to just listen to it on loop at work tomorrow 😂

I love the crane claw twitching right before the race goes, just that extra little touch of anticipation and personality expressed through the mech.

Anyone else feel like that Trashcan that was flung off into space had this huge loredump about it? Like it was the sign Hanse Davion got to unify with the Lyrans or that it was seen by the remnants of Clan Wolverine on some distant world.

Thousands of years from now, that dumpster is going to smack someones dropship in orbit of a totally different planet, and they'll stare at it, reading "Property of the Van Zandt Militia Reserve, Model UM-D01, and say "What the fuck?"

My favorite is the Lovebug Urbanmech. It brings me back to my childhood with those ridiculous Herbie movies.

Herbie Urbie!!!! Loved the meme so much I have one of my many urbie minis painted in the pattern of it. Was thinking of painting the other 11 up as classic race cars for the sake of a tabletop urbie derby.

Tourney I use to be a part of did a 'Stinger Shoot-out' as a finial battle on a 30x30 hex circle 'plateau' where getting knocked off was getting eliminated. I want to say it was 10+ Stingers but I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was fun as hell. Just blowing the hell out of each other and doing every melee trick possible to win.

The best thing about this is that if this was a real life event the trashcan/dumpster would have been the betting favorite among BT fans. Also I love everything about this. The music, the animation and even the cheesy story in which the sexy, toned and green hero wins the day.

Do not speak lightly of that Dumpster, for it was on Terra. It's role in the resistance against Aramis was pivotal. It was offered a place in Kerensky's Exodus, but could see only madness on that road. It stayed on Earth, supporting Blake, but in time it could also see the madness that was Comstar. So... It went to the last free star, Van Zandt, and went native.
