As a Brazilian I'm very proud to have Melqui and his athletes representing our country. Not only because they are all super talented, but mainly because of how respectful they are towards everyone, specially their opponents. Manaus é um berço de lutadores de jiu-jitsu no Brasil. Apesar de ser uma cidade afastada dos grandes centros econômico e cultural do país (Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo) tem produzido grandes atletas do MMA e do grappling gi e no gi. Além dos três em destaque, há outros manauaras brabos no cenário nacional da atualidade. Meyram Maquine, Diego "Pato", Samuel Nagai, dentre outros. A selva só produz monstros! Oss.
