VITO: Out Of The Shadows | Full Film

Спорт

Cornell wrestler Vito Arujau had one of the most spectacular years in 2023.
After moving up from 125 to 133 he wins an NCAA title beating both clear-cut favorites, Oklahoma State's Daton Fix and Penn State's Roman Bravo-Young decisively. A month later he dominated his way through the US Open and went on to make the World Team and become a World Champion.
Vito has always had the ability to be great inside of him, but inconsistencies have plagued him.
Vito has been surrounded by greatness his whole life. His father, Vougar, was a 2x World Champion, 2x Olympian and bronze medalist for the USSR. His best friend and former rival, Yianni Diakomihalis is a 4x NCAA Champion and World silver medalist.
Meet Vito, hear from his father and ride along for the journey while he pursues a world title with Yianni by his side.

Bravo Flo 👏🏼. Thanks for sharing this gem. What an incredible film. Seeing Mike Gray and Yianni watch the matches together is pure gold. That Cornell coaching staff is so underrated but just keep creating champions. #GoBigRed #TeamUSA #FloWrestling #WorldChampion 🙏🏼

If the sport was more popular and better represented around the world, there would be more weights.

Vito was in the top 4 in my book and beating Fix was an obvious (my book) but beating RBY at his own game got our attention and we (fans) knew he had a chance for gold if he stayed in his new found zone and he did just that! Hats off to you Vito and a loud hand clap to Flo for the work they did to give us a detailed behind the scene view of this incredible journey !

I think he should try using DMSO on his ear. It helps with swelling, pain, etc. It's all natural.

14:14 doesn’t help that he was hindering himself for cutting to 125 for whatever reason (I feel like he could’ve/should’ve been a 4x timer) but I’m glad bros finally finding his success.
