    I have watched the interview twice. My father is a bee keeper. We were brought up in an environment where raw unprocessd honey is a staple diet. My father is 83 and has almost perfect health. My mother adds honey to lots of her homemade dishes, including homemade mayonese (no processed sugar is allowed in the house). I am 48 and rarely visit my dentist (only the hygenist). Our vavourite desert is fresh fruit salad, and we have it for breakfast too. I guess we are different 😅

    As I know, the bees get sick because of different diseases and beekeepers are obliged to use antibiotics in order to keep their hives alive. High levels of antibiotic residues are found in honey. How does your father manage to do that without affecting the quality of the honey you've been consuming?

    When I was studying to be a massage therapist, they told us that the pharmaceutical companies subsidize the medical colleges, and will not do so if they teach too much about nutrition. A couple of years later I was working on an older man who had a bloody rash on one leg for years, and was prescribed an ointment for it. I suggested trying to drink a lot of water to carry away toxins, and it cleared up in three weeks . His doctor called my employer and angrily insisted I was NOT to “give medical advice “ to clients, even though I had been taught that telling clients to drink water was within my parameters. Also I had in no way guaranteed it would work. But it was obvious the ointment hadn’t worked for years. This video demonstrates that you can receive life saving information as long as you don’t attend University to become a doctor.

I cut out sugar 3 months ago due to health issues (not diabetes), including maple syrup, honey, and substitute “healthier” sugars, I stopped craving sweets by week 2. If I do feel like a “dessert” I make it on occasion using dates or bananas as the sweetener. The only sweet I will have is in fruits/veggies. I’ve also heard that many cultures who eat sweet fruits on a daily basis don’t get diabetes or health issues concerning glucose. I guess it depends on what you’re DNA is as well, or where you grow up, your environment and lineage.

    Some small issues, 1. Glycolysis (metabolism of glucose) occurs in the cytosol of cells and not mitochondria. However, pyruvate derived from glucose does enter the mitochondria to undergo oxidative phosphorylation. 2. The sweet sugar we consume is sucrose which is composed of 1 molecule of glucose and one of fructose. It is the later that is only metabolised in the liver whereas all cells can use glucose. Fructose is metabolised to free fatty acids leading to excessive fat deposition in liver & pancreas as well as visceral fat stores. Neither glucose or fructose are essential to be consumed. Glucose is made via gluconeogenesis in the liver and regulated by glucagon.

    In my twenties my throat and jaw began to cramp during a meal. This began to happen more frequently so I went to the Dr. The Dr. couldn’t find anything wrong. It took about 10 yrs but I noticed a pattern with the food I was eating and it was corn syrup. I stopped eating things with corn syrup and at 55 now very rarely experience the cramps but I did find out from my Dr. that I could be diabetic if I’m not careful. Turns out my body was telling me not to eat processed sugars as soon as I put in my mouth. Those cramps were painful but made me pay attention. I drink a lot of water, watch my processed sugars, rarely drink coffee, sodas or alcohol. I’m 55 and healthy with more energy than people half my age. I believe your body is telling you what you need and what it doesn’t we just don’t speak the language and nor do most Doctors. I highly recommend we learn the language our bodies are using to communicate what’s going on inside us.

    Correct. The sugar model for obesity is now debunked. Total calories from both sugar AND fat are to blame for the ever growing obesity and health crisis. These keto, carbinvore zealots are taking advantage for personal gain. Eating high amounts of saturated fat is also far worse than just sugar alone. Combine the 2, it's a time bomb.

At 66 I feel physically, emotionally, and mentally emotionally better then I did at 40. I eat moderate protein, low carb. When I eat fruits they are low sugar ones like berries. When I eat vegetables they are higher fiber ones such as romaine lettuce, green beans, broccoli, etc. prior to finding this way of eating I was vegan for 25 years. I became morbidly obese and pre diabetic. So when someone tells me how healthy their vegan diet is I tell them I do not want to hear what they have to say until they are vegan for 25 years.

    The material this lady presents is good, but there are two flaws: 1. Glucose is an essential molecule for cellular processes, but it is not necessary to take in this substance externally through food. The liver can and does make glucose via a process called gluconeogenesis. Jessie never mentions this. 2. Jessie misses the underlying biochemical process that leads to inflammation upon ingestion of glucose. The inflammation is caused not directly by the glucose spike but by the spike in insulin that occurs due to the pancreas needing to secrete increasing amounts of insulin in response to glucose. Over time, this state of hyper-insulinemia leads to fat cells becoming dysfunctional (lipotoxicity), which causes the pancreas to secrete ever more insulin until they finally wear out. This process can take 10-15 years or more, during which time blood glucose levels may not necessarily appear elevated. This pathological state can only be diagnosed with a test for fasting blood insulin. Most doctors miss this and therefore misdiagnose hyperinsulineami, pre-diabetes

    1 The liver generate glucose from stored energy. It doesn’t create it out of thin air. Stored energy is in body fat and protein that you’ve built from previous food intake 2 You’re basically saying the same thing as she did. Too much glucose chronically causes hyperinsulinemia. So she’s right in a simple way

    So the solution has to be Intermittent Fasting. You have a 4 hour eating window, the rest of the day, you're fasting, so no glucose spikes

  • @blueshoes5145

    @blueshoes5145

    But the meal you eat at the 4 hour window would also have a sugar spike. And intermittent fasting is good temporarily. But if done for a long time your insulin resistance could be effected with weight gain and lack of enough vitamins and minerals. The only thing you need is low GI foods aka foods that release sugar slowly. And viola ! No spikes, longer sustained energy release, you can enjoy more food per day AND get enough vitamins and minerals.

    Sugar is evil and should be avoided at all costs. It gave me diabetes in my early 20s, even though my BMI was perfect, I got plenty of sleep, didn't smoke, drink or do drugs at all - and I mean ever. All I did wrong was eating sugar. It got to a point where my energy levels were unbelievably low, I was dizzy all the time and I could no longer feel both of my arms. It felt like when your limb gets numb, except I couldn't shake it off - it was a constant feeling. That was my cue to stop eating sugar.

    That is so cool that you say that. Because I thought maybe, when we eat sugar our body reacts and makes us aggressive. The sugar is available pretty fast so the blood sugar is increasing. So the problem is, the energy is available too fast so we need much more insulin to metabolize it. If we eat way more sugar than we need, don’t work out and get fat, our body has to produce a crazy amount of insulin. When we don’t cut the sugar we get sick. That is like when you drive your car with the wrong gas. It will break. Right? So why is processed sugar available everywhere. It is in so many foods. Processed foods are the worst. We need to eat way more healthy without eating sugar and processed stuff.

I don't think I need a scale anymore, I just compare how my face looks, from month to month the improvement is visible. Also I may have more strength in hands. My wife says I don't snore anymore.

    Around 23 minute mark she said that more glucose spikes make a person aged earlier and also according to my experience this is true, I would like to add here that if the person who has started looking aged because of this, controls his glucose spikes, he can reverse this aging effect slowly and gradually and can regain his youthful appearance. He should be having fewer carbs and more protein while adding exercise and intermittent fasting to his daily routine.

I can feed my son right, when he started eating solid food, because I can choose good food like avocado, banana, brocoly & chicken broth. now he is toddler all snacks is unhealthy , even formula milk, and vitamins using many sugar forms. forget what I eat as adult, unhealthy.
