Happy New Year... thanks for featuring Eddie Holman, I'm from Philly, and I attended Overbrook High Class of 1970. I'm not sure if I forgot or just didn't know that Eddie Holman was from my hometown, and I attended the same high school. Their are so many talented singers and group from Philly. Mr. Eddie Holman had a tight falsetto. Grew up listening to his music being played on my families record player. Besides "Hey There Lonely Girl," I love "Since I Don't Have You" and "Cathy Called." Thanks for sharing his story.

My mother's name is cathye, so Cathy Called was played constantly in our house.

Gotta Be "This Can't Be True (Girl)". (TCBTG) This song & ("Hey There) Lonely Girl" are the ONLY songs I Heard by Eddie. All the other 45 rpm Singles & the LPs ...I never KNEW or HEARD of. Eddie Kendricks & Other Falsetto Vocalists Come close... But In my Opinion Eddie Holman is the Falsetto CHAMPION! TCBTG has Got to be in the Top 5 of the Greatest R & B Songs of All Time. Who were the Backup vocalists signing with him on that song? That is some of the smoothest Vocal Harmony I Ever Heard?
