“Fabulous Group,Great Voices, and Good Dancers.”!!! My favorite songs by The Contours are, Just A Little Misunderstanding, and Do You Love Me.
"Can You Jerk Like Me" "First I Look At The Purse" "Just A Misunderstanding" "It's So Hard Being A Loser" and "Do You Love Me" are my favorites by The Contours.
My all-time favorite song by the Contours is "Do You Love Me"! This song is a classic Motown song. I also like "First I Look At The Purse"!
My favorite by them is That Day When She Needed Me.
I Love your content
May they all be Resting In Peace
I remember this group and that song.
Favorites…It’s so hard being a loser and Can you do it. Excellent group. Check the cd “Dance With The Contours. An album recorded in 1964 that never made the release roster. Thanks for the post brother.
It's crazy knowing they used to rehearse at my grandma's house before they actually made it.
"Do You Love Me" was so good, it was included on the "More Dirty Dancing" movie soundtrack. The song was re-released on Motown Yesteryear Series (label that released many past, 60s hits, from the main labels in the 70s-80s) and almost went to the top ten, the second time. It went to #11 in 1988.
I LOVE “Whole Lotta Woman” !
#1. Can You Jerk Like Me, #2. It Must Be Love, #3. Your Love Grows More Precious Everyday, #4. First I Look At The Purse.
