Well he mentioned it (more or less) but didn’t get the name change of that company. They changed the name of the company from „Cyber Manufacturing Co.“ late 2023 into Rabbit Inc. and Jesse claimed to be working on Rabbit since 2020 totally denying the GAMA scam he was on by that time.

Wow~ It's a little assistant in your pocket that reminds you of your schedule when it's time to go, reads your texts out loud, and even more amazingly, knows which method to use to get the best results based on the situation. And I believe it can even predict the next outcome of an action through its vision perception of the object. It's a really, really amazing device. And thanks for the clarification Jesse.

Most ppl make the mistake of assuming LLM like chatGPT can do what rabbit R1 can do, thus it will be available in Iphone, android soon. Unless LAM(large action model) is widely available, it will still be some time away, but eventually, it will happen. Let the race begin.

That's the point, regular people don't create products like this
I bought it after the keynote and was surprised by the negative reception on YT without merit, I say Rabbit R1 maybe something we don’t actually know we need, it could be replaced by a phone app, yet the point is not to use a phone. Many of us are actually getting sick of apps and phone usage yet want to use the convenience of technology in leisure time. I guess the race for Ai is on and the only thing clear right now is that an early and innovative market that will at least for a few years provide us all with choice. That’s until a winner is found and then we are all bound by its power !!

Sorry to break the news, but Jesse is a scammer. He was doing an NFT project right before he started Rabbit, as soon as april 2023 he did. Please do your on reasearch by googling GAMA and Quantum Engine AI. Those are the same project, the NFT. He promised all backers, and then one day open sourced it and dissappeared with all the crypto. He later legally renamed the company to Rabbit Inc. So it is literally the same crypto company but with a different name

I came across one of those videos, highlighting stuff from the CES 2024, and when I saw this, I ran to my PC and pre-ordered one, I have been around at the start of many "new" technologies, consumers define where these products will go, R1 is just the infancy, of where this will go, yes it will evolve and within a few years will be something completely different, and you know what? I want to be a part of that change. I do feel that personal agents/assistance, with loyal AI (Loyal to consumer/user) is the future. R1 is the 1st step in that direction.

❤ Impressively user-friendly device, r1! #RabbitAI
I predict this capability will soon be folded into Alexa and Siri. Yet, these guys seem to have developed an AI OS that can do many things seamlessly, so who knows. To me, people don't want to carry another device so it will be a better solution if this tech can be integrated into IOS and Android. It will be interesting to see how limited (or not) the Rabbit is when delivered and if they can stay ahead of the giants that will be chasing them down- like the breakaway rider trying to stay ahead of the peloton and get the victory.
You would think the big tech companies would make a LAM device but if you take a close look at these companies they make money off of segmentation, moreover they make money off of different apps (especially Microsoft) than have an all in one. There is no profit incentive to combine apps only to separate them. I just asked ChatGPT Dall-E to make a Facebook friendly picture with specific words for my background pic and nope, it could only tell me how to do it. Dall-e could not reproduce the wording on the picture correctly even though I specifically spelled it out. Even the directions on how to do it were vague. It just said do it using a picture software no recommendations for free ones. The days of keeping your "skills" close to the chest are over people, I know this is the real reason people will hate Rabbit R1. Rabbit R1 will be an equalizer that took people years to develop skills I can catch up in an hour of teaching the app how to do it or maybe even seconds. Hate the system not the product. Excellent review of Jesse, we just have to hope he is not working for the PRC, they are ruthless in recruiting and hunting people down to work for them just like our CIA.
Thank you for this. Quite unusual to remain unknown in the tech world, but Lyu is from China - a country with much talent & high IQ people. Hope this sets a precedent.
My question is will Jesse Lyu release our information to the PRC, what protections do we have???

This is great! I was hoping to learn how os2 (the predecessor to rabbit and the r1 came into the story. The website existed a few months ago, but eventually became rabbit’s site. It was a really cool demo of realtime voice communication with an AI. It was a really cool experience and its goal was to be the kernel for other os’s and systems iirc. Regardless, this was a great video! I’m glad to hear Jessie has the track record to back up the product :)

The rabbit eye looks like a game changer. If it can for example look at a meal and calculate nutritional value and look at plants and recommend care , that replaces 2 paid apps. I’ve found many of the best apps require a yearly subscription. Rabbit doesn’t require a subscription. It will still be a tough sell because people already pay for a thousand dollar phone and LTE fees. How important is it to spend extra money to eliminate screen taps? I find it odd to take money before the product is available. Why? Makes me think they have zero capital and the company can collapse with no support for users. However I remember using PDAs and blackberries too. We didn’t see the iPhone and apps coming. This could be the next wave.

"If it can for example look at a meal and calculate nutritional value" Not there yet. While it can likely do this for simple food say like a simple vegetable, the problem I ran into with meals is that it cannot "see" how the meal was prepared and other things that were added to give u an accurate amount. For example, I asked for the calories in my marinara chicken and it couldnt identify it was chicken due to the marinara sauce on it. "look at plants and recommend care" yes it can do this. "I find it odd to take money before the product is available. Why?" it's a startup. they need funding to get things moving bc generally startups are "poor". and i'm sure it also involves other things like they have to prove to their VC's that the product is worth them giving them more money for "Makes me think they have zero capital and the company can collapse with no support for users. " 99% of startups fail for just that reason. they collapse for 2 reasons, either no support from users or they run out of capital before the company takes off. i've worked for several startups and they sell hope with low capital. that's just the nature of the beast. just be thankful this device is only $200 so if it fails, at least it was a cheap fail, no big loss

Great video. The more you think about it, the more you realise how smart it was to announce the Rabbit as an actual product. If it was an app or even a smart piece of software, nobody would be talking about it still and there's nothing physical for social media to paste all over their thumbnails and images. The screen resolution looks naft, I'm also from an age/generation where I still like the tactile-ness of buttons, so voicing my intentions to an AI assistant wouldn't be for me but I could imagine a lot of this becoming the norm in the near future.

Watching 3weeks from this video. Only saw RabbitR1 about 3weeks ago, and I bought one two weeks ago. Less than a month, I learned more and more about everything around this man and company. I never felt more comfortable about a technology. I fought against the switch from android to iPhone. I fought again to switch my tablets. And once again to switch laptop to custom PC. I am very hesitant with technology and won't buy something I don't feel will advance my life. Definitely not one for fads as I create my own art, and music as I now know Jessy does. I BARELY HESITATED ON THIS> SO Should you?
People who is thinking that the rabbit R1 can be replaced by an app, are wrong. The reason is, no one will use the app actually, and it will be forgotten by a time. The Rabbit is a Hardware! much more valuable, and it has a fanbase! I think its pretty cute and unique!

it isn't ai powered per se. All the AI is hosted on the cloud. Their cloud. Take a look at the specs, the processor is an 2018 chip, its not made for AI. It only send the info up to the cloud and then replies back. Thus its useless without internet connection. you might be able to argue that their infrastructure/service kinda is... but... And I get it the concept is great, if it were local/on-device, which might happen in a future version. I am really looking forward to a local version/competitor that is local, but for the time being its not revolutionary... even their whole LAM thing is not a research paper or a white paper... @@theAIsearch
