right!? I don't know one single Kentucky fan that has hated on Reed, and if they did they were crazy to begin with lol. Here's to hoping Reed comes back to play under Mark Pope next season! Mark played with his dad so hopefully that will help bring Reed back.

Great kid with great parents. His dad is a poster boy for working for what you want. He got better every year and was an amazing player his senior year. Also held the Georgia HS high jump record at 7ft. Watching Reed is a lot of fun.

I am a 50 yr KY fan. Reed is an example of what hard work does. Decent athlete but fundamentals are excellent . Not many players today know how to throw a great two handed pass. Reminds me of a young John Stockton.

Facts! I think he’s definitely a going to be a one and done, because he can do so much more than just score the ball. A lot of this Kentucky team momentum comes from reed getting a steal or him making the right play to setup his teammates, while still being able to create for himself.

From Corbin ky (minutes from London) and besides his parents, which are obvious, his cousin who played on his high school team was the biggest influence. Without both pushing each other to get better I doubt he becomes what he is now. We are extremely proud of him and couldn’t ask for a better representative of what it means to be from this community, we don’t have a lot but we work hard and put team over self accomplishments. He is as humble as they come for the hype he had here. His dad was an amazing athlete and didn’t shy from the spotlight but I think his mom is who’s to thank for his basketball iq. Go Big Blue

I love Reed. Loved his dad when I was a kid, now my son is watching Reed. I was also ball boy for a few girls games in the 90’s with Stacey. Special times for Kentucky but that’s what it’s all about that that’s why Kentucky is Kentucky and at the end of the day the media can build up Duke and UNC all they want, Kentucky is the most special place for college basketball in America. You can see it in the fanbase, it just means more here.

Facts ! Reed definitely does play the game the right way. He doesn’t need the ball to be affective, and he’s arguably one of the best 2 way players in the country. The intensity and approach that he brings every game is something alot of kids in middle and high school can really emulate in their game.

Yea he was never unranked. Every U.K. fan has been watching Reed since he was in grade school. He was rated way too low by 24/7 at #74, but Rivals had him at #23 blue chipper 5 star, which is still way too low. If you gave the coaches recruiting this class take of the future, Reed Sheppard would be #1 in the class easily.

@@upthescore everyone knew he was going to Kentucky before 8th grade. Why make the freshman class look better. He’s been doing this since high school. They did something similar with AD. His senior year when he grew they bumped him up to this really high level and after he signed with Kentucky everyone started saying he wouldn’t be that good because of his growth spurt and fragile build And he would be bodied by other players. Then he played and proved everyone wrong. He would have gotten so much more hype from another team if he went to them from the media.
