Just to tell the backstory of my local hero, Chris Paul (who isiah passed on the all time scoring list) actually could have broken the state record (at the time) easily but got to 61 at the line then missed intentionally on his next free throw and took himself out. He did so for his 61 year old grandfather who'd just been murdered. They were extremely close and he was devastated emotionally, immediately upon exiting the game he broke down crying and joined his family in the stands. CP3 is a hero around here
