It definitely wasn't Vito, Rocky, or Joey, so it's either Jeremy or Brian.

I think it's interesting that they don't bother showing the failed relationships or showing the other people who were on the show. I want to know all the tea

I ALSO think it's weird that they seem to keep the "attractive" couples on the show where the average also attractive contestants are cut from the show entirely. Why is that?

I think Netflix should do a couple episodes along the lines of “the untold stories of LIB” or some shiz like that. Something they could air after the show is done. I get it if they wanna limit production to 6 couples for the after the pods portion. But they could include the other engagements and show their stories since they already have the footage and all they would have to do is edit them.

imagine being used to make SHANE seem like a less shallow person. production edits can screw anyone over in a show.

One of the main reasons I liked LIB-Japan so much is they show us every failed relationship and they don’t force them to stay all the way to the alter like the American versions seem to do. Way better setup

Yeah. I loved the jpn version of the show way more than the us version. It seemed a bit more... mature (?). I don't know how to word it but it felt like they were being more real than their us counterparts while still taking care to be respectful

Will you cover The Courtship? I think you'd love it, it's like The Great British Baking Show meets Austenland meets The Bachelorette 😁

I wish they would concentrate more on the pods and less with the outside stuff. Love isn't really blind when we don't see how they fall in love in the pods. I don't care too much about the dream locations or meeting for parties, give me more (even failed) pod dates! These pods were the selling point for season 1, why not use them more? 2 out of 10 episodes doesn't feel like enough. Thank you though for another video, hope you continue to have a speedy recovery!

I think showing more of that could reveal the weird ass conditions their in. Part of the apeal is like "what desperate people" And one of the conesteants talked about how they genuienly loose sense of time are constantly filled with more alcohol than food and all that

Why doesn't LIB film more than 10 episodes of content? Most viewers want more of that content and would be excited about following another two couples in that time too.

I'm guessing it has something to do with their Netflix contract. I totally agree though - even just bumping it up to 15 episodes would give enough room to see more couples!

I want LIB to be split into 2 shows. The first is in the pods getting to know everyone and all the relationships and the second is LIB: after the wall, and follows them after the show or on the journey to marriage, could check in with couples on previous seasons, etc

I've been avoiding all other commentary youtubers' videos on love is blind because I've been waiting for yours, so excited they're coming back!!!

Not sure if you watched Love is Blind Japan or Brazil , but they give a ton more time to the people not getting married, and all engagements were aired. the dynamics of those shows were drastically different than the ameircan, the US version was messy, the japan version was like a Love story, the brazil version was heavy on social commentary about gender roles, race and what you want from a partner

I don't understand why Netflix doesn't release some bonus episodes showing all these other couples and connections. Unlike network TV, they don't have to worry about schedules and competing with other networks. They can release as much content as they want, and since they already have that footage, I don't think it would take that long to edit it and release it as extra episodes. I do understand not having more than 6 couples per season because it would be difficult to show them all and get to know them.

I live in Chicago and Vito came up to me in a bar in December bragging about being on the show but when I asked him how it went he basically said "I'm going to get a villain edit, because I proposed but then when we met in person she was a Big Girl"... needless to say I ended the conversation there. I'm glad the producers didn't lean into the fat shaming story line and cut him completely, but I was not at all impressed by that interaction.

I have a theory that Natalie is seeing the guy who proposed to her, but she's contractually obligated not to say until the After Party episodes air. And considering how Shayne slammed her recently, I hope she makes out with that guy as uncomfortably as possible

I actually think the couples who get together, then don’t have to go through the subsequent month on camera, are lucky. Yeah, they miss out on the fame and a vacation in Mexico maybe, but they can get back to the “real world” more quickly without the pressure of the wedding in 4 weeks.

Conspiracy: it was Vito who proposed to Natalie, that's why he was at the beach party. There was a whole other drama that happened with Vito asking Natalie to reconsider but it was decided to cut so there would only be one "villain" in the Natalie and Shane relationship

I don’t get the “cut for time”narrative, could they not have run an entire nother season, based on cut footage, without the overhead of filming again?!

Perhaps they didn’t have the budget to take them to and film them in Mexico and potentially beyond. It’s extra money for lodging and food, the extra crew to follow and film, extra for the more footage that needed editing, extra for the apartments they’d live in together, and extra for the costs of set for weddings.

If they get engaged but are cut by production do they get to keep the ring for good?

I'm just confused how LIB:Japan managed to give a more thorough look at their couples in the pod, as well as following 8 couples but the American version didnt have enough budget and crew? Hell the pods and sets looked even better in the Japanese one too. Surely the original creators of the show would have a bigger budget?

If you want to make it to any reality show 1. Have a unique look, you either have to make faces like shayne or be brown like shake. You cannot go on a show and look exactly like 2+ guys or girls that are on the show. You have to have unique look. 2. Be a character. You have to become the villain or the hero. The jerk or the jerk 3. Cause drama. Argue, fight, throw stuff, snap, or act as if you’re Mentally unstable. You’d almost have a guaranteed spot. 4. Change your mind, A LOT. Be this person one day, be another person next day. 5. Most importantly PLAY THE GAME. These shows do not care about your love life or if you will live happily ever after. They can give 2 💩. Play a game or the game. If it’s competition then play the game if it’s romantic then play A game. 6. Finally, BE MANIPULATIVE. This is 100% most important you can fail all the other steps but if you get this down then you will 100% be viewed on the show instead of being cut. Manipulate the ever living 💩 out of everyone or even just one person. Producers love drama. At the end of the day they don’t care about you and why you’re there. They care about what will get eyes glued to the screen point blank

Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if diversity had a hand in some of the couple selections also. There are a good mix of races/ethnicities going on, and adding another white couple would have thrown off the balance.

The two couples cut from the show were probably cut because the show needed more diversity. Two more white couples wouldn’t have shown how diverse the casting was. Just my thoughts.
