The psychology is so much more interesting because every show with singles (bachelor franchise, love is blind, love island, etc) has just become a way for people to get social media fame and (at least parts) are scripted. This is real couples who have spent 2 years together! That’s crazy to me. Are these just couples who BOTH want internet fame? Maybe some of them but it feel way more honest.

Yup. They're very, very obviously not people who should be making long term plans of any kind. They're obviously not sure about anything, they're not working as couples and most of them seem like they're together because of ether passion or inertia and both are horrible foundations. Passion is fleeting, hence all the flip flopping. Inertia is pretty horrible since it's somebody staying in a relationship because it's less work than finding a new one. And you know what. This is perfectly fine for your 20's but good God, do not bring the fucking government into your drama. If you both know you want to settle down and have a family, I would still wait a year before a proposal and at least an additional year before marriage, assuming everything is still going fine. If anyone in the relationship has any missgivings, it's a hard no on the making it official.

I really thought what April said in exasperation after the 2 proposals on Decision Night was spot on. Why come on the show, if you weren't going to absorb yourself truly in the experience? I didn't mind how Hunter ended up proposing (although Alexis, I'm sure, must have been expecting a grander gesture of a proposal from the way she reacted), but when Nate proposed, that seemed like completely out of his own insecurities because no one else was choosing him. I agree with you that Colby was good to be honest to Alexis too. Just because she was offended that someone didn't find her attractive doesn't give her the right to tell everyone he's a bad person...

More people need to talk about Nate and Lauren. How about the fact that Nate had several choices that he wanted to pursue but when all of the were chosen or not interested, he waited until Lauren was about to say yes to Colby to pull a total desperation move and propose to Lauren. To me, this seemed like a massive control move from Nate saying “if I can’t go through this experiment with who I want then why should you be able to?” And I don’t know which is more fucking stupid, Nate for pulling that dumb shit or Lauren for actually saying yes despite repeating over and over that the kids thing was a deal breaker.

Personally I thought it was funnier when Hunter did his proposal because Alexis went into this acting her #%$^ didn't stink and the dynamic screamed that he's her doormat that likely thought she could do better. Then she starts lashing out when she realizes the other guys want nothing to do her presumably because they've heard her talk for longer than 5 minutes so theoretically it should've been able to give Hunter some power in the relationship which he immediately chucks into the fire by proposing to her anyway. Alexis' reaction is honestly pretty accurate because it makes absolutely no sense. I feel like Lauren is the bigger idiot because she still went through with the engagement even after seeing Nate get rejected left, right and center by the other women and them telling Lauren what a douchenozzle he is.

Seriously, Madilyn literally was like bragging about how much she liked Randall from the moment she saw him. Like if you feel that way you should just be single and date around. You could tell she was so annoyed with Colby over every small thing but wanted him to change and didn't see value in him until other women saw value in him. She was constantly drunk and yelling at him and you could tell how much he was invested in her. And he did kiss someone else but she was trying to sleep with Randall and to me a makeout session with a person you're not gonna see again is not as bad as connecting with someone on an emotional personal level and trying to sleep with them. People are calling Colby a narcissist in the comments because he kissed another girl for Madilyn.... He didn't really explain it well but I think he kissed the other girl because he was jealous of Madilyn and Randall and he wanted to prove to her and him that he could find someone else if he wanted to. That Madilyn could lose him too. But I think once he did it he felt bad even though technically they weren't in a relationship at that point. And explaining it as an open relationship was probably the most accurate way of explaining it to stranger without breaking an NDA. And are we not gonna talk about how Colby and April kissed?? Like that came out of nowhere and I feel like if Colby and April actually dated they would be compatible just because their personalities are so similar but also because they're happy-go-lucky people wanting the best from every situation.

@@msnandimarie7023 yeah seems like she's an emotional drunk. Like you could tell when she was wasted because she would talk slower. When Colby lashed out at dinner with her friends, I don't blame him. He was putting himself through hell for this woman and she was just drunk trying to get her friends to give her an excuse to leave. And he reminds me of my husband. Straightforward and understanding and not an overly emotional person and Madilyn is the opposite. Super emotional and wanting to talk about everything. When they moved past their issue she HAD to bring it up because if he didn't say exactly what she wanted to her he was an awful boyfriend. Marriage requires forgiveness and understanding. If he apologized and explained his feelings then accept it and forgive him or don't and leave him. But once she forgave him she didn't need to bring it up again and that's where I see his frustration. Madilyn isn't ready for marriage especially not to him.

I agree with portions of that statement. Colby and Madelyn are the worst! I thought Randall was a sweetheart but he went way downhill for me with the switch. I think he and Madelyn smashed, I don’t care about the “ broke up” rule. You don’t have to F**k someone just because you’re on a 3 week break, take time to reflect. He and Madelyn were practically salivating!!

@@Hannahbanana353 Agreed, and I really liked him episode 1. The clincher was when he met up with Shanique after the girls night up. He was like we’re supposed to be fully immersed in this experience. I bet he was!! He had the audacity to say “ so I should just leave Madelyn by herself and come see about you” when she was so hurt by Madelyn’s comments about Randall thrown in her face. That really, really rubbed me the wrong way…expressing more concern about the chick he’s known for 2.5 weeks as opposed to the girlfriend he had for 2.5 years. I felt devastated for her, by his stance. Madelyn would be super okay by herself for the 20-30 minutes while you comfort/reassure Shanique.

I am genuinely confused why they are together. She seems like she'd be happier playing the field and and if she did it seems like she would use Colby as a shining example as to why she doesn't do relationships. Colby on the other hand just kind of sits there and lets her treat him like garbage even though it seems like he could get fairly easily date someone with better aligned relationship goals

Madlyn getting mad at Kolby for doing what she did just because he went a different route is stupid. Wow she's incredibly one sided & a narcissist. She's incapable of seeing any other perspective but hers. She constantly tries to play the victim, but she's the one doing all the wrong. She's toxic, drop her! Also Zay saying he doesn't talk to his parents made me burst into tears. He is absolutely the sweetest. My favorite one on the show. And Shanique is so beautiful I was in awe of her. And are we not gonna talk about how Colby and April kissed?? Like that came out of nowhere and I feel like if Colby and April actually dated they would be compatible just because their personalities are so similar but also because they're happy-go-lucky people wanting the best from every situation.

I was surprised to find I got into this show. I liked watching everyone's experience and interactions, with the exception of Madlyn. She is one of those scary women that always make herself out to be the victim. She says things like "I can't keep pretending I'm the problem", when she never once said she was the problem lol. She bad mouthed him as soon as she got there. Everything she gets mad at other people for doing she literally just did. She was mad at Colby for not telling her his experience with other women and talking about her to a woman during their break, when she definitely acted like they were broken up as well and didn't tell Colby the multiple kisses she shared with Randall, all while talking the most mess about their partner than anyone else on the cast. She was malicious in her intention while talking with shanique about her experience at girls night, as she was laughing at shanique being hurt about it. She was mad at Colby for "shutting down"...while she was behind a shut bathroom door lol, and she also walked out in the middle of Randall trying to talk to her too. All of her scenes are hard to watch since she is so irksome. I don't think that Colby is always right but I really don't see why he's so attracted to her. I'm glad Alexis left early, so weird she was still mad weeks later that Colby wasn't attracted to her, as if everyone in the world is going to be attracted to her.

Colby was dead wrong for not just telling her "yes, I had my own version of the experience for me because I didn't have a connection w/April", while Madlyn was up under Randall the entire time anyway, literally up under Randall begging to get nailed. I partied all through 20s and so did he and now we are ready for our family, our baby is 5 and life is good.. so waiting another 5-10 years later made a big difference. But they did a great job trying to learn more about themselves, I even learned some new insights looking at their issues lol.
