    I've pre-ordered it and am currently waiting for them to receive the stock. I got a pair of their adjustable KB and the adjustable macebell also and the quality is excellent. I'm confident that the club will be good 👍

    Interested what people will think of it, I like the lack of central thread, although that makes spacers unlikely, it doesnt do microloading down to 1.25 lbs, and is knurled, anyway I'm all clubbed out with gear at this point meself, will check out the reviews post preorder.

    Mark, I'm so glad one day one of your videos popped up on my KZread. Since then I've made several different weight clubs and maces and purchased an adex fat handle club and mace. Been following your videos and using them in my workouts ever since. I feel great!!!! What the Hell!!!!

    I notice in your videos that sometimes the spacers are on the end of the club and sometimes on the handle side. This video shows spacers on both sides, concentrating the weight in the middle of the club. I get that you are manipulating the center of mass, but would love to see a video on the use cases of the different configurations (the why). Your programs have radically changed my fitness. So much extra equipment in my space now because these are so appropriate to my sport (dragon boat). Thank you for sharing free content in addition to your paid programs.

    Weights and spacers are painted. Customize your gear. The weight is far from the handle.

    My father was a carpenter and he had the thickest arms. His fingers were thick and calloused to the max. Everytime I’d challenge arm wrestling or grip strength I’d fold every time. I thought I’d never get his arms. I weight lifted, did mma, BJJ and did the conventional martial arts Strength and conditioning but i never got that thick blue collar arms and hands. Training with these clubs has changed it all! My hands and arms are much noticeably thicker. A lot of veins and callouses too. People notice it and they always ask about my arm day workouts. I just tell them I do club training. I did club training not for these reasons but to improve my shoulder and arm connections when doing my martial arts . Club bells is %110 effective for martial arts! The side effect is that it gives you badass arms.

    5:15 my n=1 datapoint confirms this. My low back/QL pain went away when I started inside circles outside circles and shield cast, even with just a light weight starting out (6lbs handle + spindle)

    Yes 👍. Suitcase deadlifts and improving hip mobility and the McGill Big 3 are also great for improving general chronic low back pain.

    This is excellent and would be even better if the last couple minutes of the video were at the start. It would be more ‘shareable’. As it’s the most crucial and applicable summary of the benefits of heavy clubs that I’ve yet seen.

    Or, wait for it.....you get gently pulled in, seduced almost, you settle into the glow of this forgotten knowledge of the casting patterns..... susshhhh....mmhh ? interesting........then 'kaplang' mf, just when your defences are down, and in your weakened state....the vista unfolds....you get the blinding vision.......it's hard to look back then......you might have rejected this rush so early on...... just me? 😂

    Loving my Titan Fitness clubs because Onnit didn't carry a 45lb one anymore. It's well worth it to get lower weight ones too. It is physically impossible to hold anything over a 25lb at certain fulcrum points. A 45lb club is shockingly humbling, doing a shield cast with it takes a couple weeks to build up to.

    I feel the same way about my 35 pound mace. About 8 years ago I found it on sale from a company going out of business and said, “Great deal! Why not?”, and made the jump from a 15 pound mace straight to 35. Humbling lol.

    Do you have a view on weight equivalence between clubs and maces? e.g. when doing shield casts vs mace 360s does a 15 kg feel like a 10 kg mace? (from my own experience 20min 360s with a 12Kg mace feels MUCH harder than 20 min shield casts with a 15kg club)

    Donnie from Adex is da bomb. I swear he is a New Jersey Gaudio hidding in Florida, most likely for tax purposes. He does make high-quality equipment though and is more then happy to assist you. I swear, the Wildman needs to have a class at his Junkyard/Manufacturing Facility so we can see his real world toys.

    How would one include Heavy Club and Kettlbell training with progressive calisthenics (think Handstand Push-ups, Pull-ups, Front Lever Rows, Planche Push-Ups, and Heavy Single Leg Squats), along with a Sport like MMA, BJJ and MUay Thai?

    I’ve run heavy clubs along with rings and parallettes. The two ways I’ve done it are as follows: 1) light club training as warm up/cool down with sessions of rings or p-bars on an alternating session format 2) an “A,B,C” schedule with clubs getting their own intensive full session and the rings and p-bars on the other days also each getting a dedicated day Both work well, it just depends what you’re trying to achieve. Some considerations I’d recommend making: 1) watch your shoulders, upper body leverage work and clubs can be stressful to the shoulders when combined - requires appropriate rest and progressive loading 2) many calisthenics programs tend to have an upper body emphasis, if you’re looking for balance don’t forget to train into squat/lunge/hinge patterns with your clubs, perhaps even emphasizing them. 3) along with your sport, that’s a lot of moving parts, managing recovery and avoiding overtraining/overuse injuries will be your biggest factor in success 4) the more training tools or modalities you’re attempting in parallel the greater the need to narrow your focus into fewer movements with each tool (80/20 Pareto Principle - stay in the 20% with each domain of training).     @@brawndothethirstmutilator9848 Would you say that handstand push ups progressions, planche progressions, front lever row progressions and one arm or weight pull up progressions would be too much while learning how to use clubs? Also, what is considered light for club and mace? Lastly, should I choose mace or club In my situation? My thing is, I haven’t been in a sport for over a year. I definitely plan to get back into combat sports training. I used to box but wanna do mma or Muay Thai. That said, I wanna gain the benefits of heavy club training, kettlebells and do general strength training with calisthenics and single leg squats (using an kensui vest, and two adjustable kettlebells from bells of steel).

    @Mark Wildman how do you feel about grip tape on the heavy club's handle? Over your 30 minute workout, my sweat is making the club's handle quite slippery.

    Any of the current mace and club offerings that don’t have these propriety weights and sleeves and just take one inch (standard) plates seem preferable

    240 pounds! I remember a video from a few years back when you were on a back deck at home doing an unwrapping of an Adex adjustable mace-bell (you were concerned with clipping your feet with it because it was a tad longer than your fixed weight mace-bell) I believe you stated that you were Six foot One inch and 200 pounds! You also had hair. 😄

    Hey! Would you choose the Arc or Club if you can only have one or the other? I ask because this is my scenario, especially as a begiinner with absoloutely no experience with this type of training. Can I get effectively away with a longer lever than a Club?

    ​@@mikec5099because if you do either plan to go up in weight ( fully populate the weights on the arc ) or do Mark's club programmes, you limit what exercises you could do at that full arc length.

    I got an Arc years ago and love it but also got a club later for the reason @cloran1754 states. The Arc works if you choke up on the handle or use two hands but I'd go with the club first.

    It's personal preference. Some prefer club, some prefer mace. I prefer the variety and torque from mace more, plus (assuming you also kettlebell) I think it's more different than kettlebells (and clubs are inbetween those two). Either way you'll end up with both if you stick with it. Double clubs get pretty fun and complex tho.

    Adex is not the only company making really good adjustable clubs/maces. There is cadi and a dozen similar others that aren't as premium. Pros and cons to each. Adex is a great choice. But there are options (including diy threaded pipe) for every budget and geographical location if these premium options are not feasible.

    How does the CK Maceworks Cadi Club compare to the Adex club, especially for the Wildman program and the exercises her promotes? I fear the dimatere of stabdard plates beyond 2.5 plates being a limitng factor.

    I wish the add-ons had slots instead of pins so you could put them on over the weight stack upside-down instead of having to drop the weights into them. I'm a little more anal about chipping and rust than the Wildman here is, lol.

    I've been using a ck maceworks cadi club for a few months and love it. Haven't tried an adex but I think for two handed stuff the cadi club is amazing. That being said the adex tempts me for single hand stuff as the width of the weight plates you have to obviously put on the cadi club make me a bit concerned for the side of my head when doing single hand movements...haven't knocked myself out yet but it's always in the back of my mind!

    Not Mark (obviously), but I have a fair amount of experience trying plate loading options. I found they generally offer less safety, lower level of performance, and inferior center of mass distribution (especially the club versions). They work ok with maces, as they make a closer approximation of the center of mass and feel of a traditional mace/gada. The problem with them is the circumference of the plates and increased risk of striking yourself with the plates. Only advantage is they are usually cheaper to get into. I personally wouldn’t use such a design unless it was my only available option. If you need a cheap club, get an aluminum bat (or 2 or 3) with plastic end caps, drill into the end caps, fill the bats with different things (rice, sand, cement, bb shot) to get a couple of different weights, and seal the whole thing up with quick weld. I did this with a couple of youth bats from the Goodwill I bought for $10-$12.

    What can one do when you have the coating handle/grip come off? it seems coating peel is inevitable and an extra expense for such an expensive item, especially as you go up in weight. For products with such a price, do they re-coat them for you for a lifetime (free of charge)? You wouldnt have this issue with brands like CK Maceworks Cadi Club or Shorties that have knurling and made of steel. Adex Should be using Knurling; I dont understand why they dont incorporate it. It would be shitty if they start using knurling and not replace them for those that have the non-knurling (free of charge).

    Don explains on the youtube site why he does not use knurling.Having used for nearly ayear now ,knurling is not need ,the powder coat feels good in the hands,it will chip with use over time if you drop it etc.

    I use an oil based paint pen to touch up chips, if it's a big area use enamel spray paint or wrap it with athletic tape like for a hockey stick or tennis racket. I personally hate knurling, I have an older Arc that used "splatter paint" and a newer club with powder coat. I prefer the paint because it lets the handle rotate smoother. Especially with an Arc or mace. Knurling would also increase the price a lot. I have no problem holding onto maxed out weight for 30min plus sessions. I do believe the Gladiator club is knurled though.

    Knurling is terrible on a club handle. Rips up the hands at high reps. If the coating chips, you can patch or refurbish with a thin layer of truck bed liner spray.
