I bought a pair of union FC 2023 on sale from EVO a few months ago. I road at Jackson Hole they popped out twice and once at Palisade Tahoe it came undone. Union said that I was tightening the bindings too tight wasn’t trying to find out if it was true or not. They finally sent me toe caps that had the pin system with the screw and going to sell them next season.

Love your reviews, but kinda surprised to hear you say you need a screwdriver. I rode a bunch of Union bindings with this over the course of a few days and was able to pop them easily with my thumbs.

My ultras have them. No tools needed, I popped it off with my hands. I bought a new setup and didn’t really adjust the bindings and when I got off the lift I did on the fly no problem. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.

Yeah, definitely see that being an issue in the future

It doesn’t, pops out with some (not much) effort. At least on my Stratas

My new forces have been great. No issues with pins.

I also wonder how well that is going to hold up over time. But on the contrary, it snaps out rather easily.

I’ve easily popped it in and out without a screwdriver, once you do it a couple times it’s pretty easy

Seems like fixing a problem that doesn’t exist only to create a new potential problem. No thanks, maybe it’s a nano second quicker to adjust the strap than a conventional flip screw but then how often are you adjusting the strap?

I just got some new forces, dont need a tool. Long term, the holes are going to get oval from tightening the straps.

I do it with my hands. Screwdriver not needed.

If it takes a tool to pry it off, it isn't really tool-less

I’ll just stick with my flip tabs.

No thanks. I want a flip cam or some sort of screw down to know I'm locked in. It seems that Union has a need to keep reinventing the wheel.

the straps own pressure against your foot keeps it locked. I'm not repping Union or anything, just explaining how that works.
