SPOILER he most likely did because in that flashback from 2014 when Jayme and Ben were fighting he wasn’t present so he most likely had an accident (similar to Luther) and the only way to save him was for Reginald to transform him into a floating meat- cube

If Sloane's voice sounds familiar to anybody, it's probably because she was the voice actress of Honey Lemon in Big Hero 6. (Genesis Rodriguez)

As many reactors I have seen, everyone seemed to forgot how many women gave birth on October 1st 1989, in first episode of season 3 it was 16. Now I get that not many might remembered that and all that. And me myself didn't remembered how many it was as well, but as soon as I heard it, I was like: Wait, it wasn't 16 last time.

pretty sure alphonso can only do damage if you do skin contact. that's why hitting his face, or slicing his leg affects them. but like punching him where he's clothed won't do anything. i think.

that’s a good theory but wouldn’t he have a whole different super suit then? And not one that is covered up? I think it probably has something to do with his concentration and energy. He only really started taking punches when he ran out of air due to his asthma. I think that’s also one of the reasons his body is deformed like that. I think with him the game is that as long as he has enough energy and concentration to block the punches he’s good to go and can’t be harmed, deflecting the attack but when he doesn’t he’s usually very over sensitive to contact leading to him bleeding way faster and then little damage can already create big damage on his skin (like his chin falling off that easily after just one punch) SPOILER because in the 2014 flashback with Sensei Pogo you could see his body wasn’t as deformed as it is now. Over the years of fighting or training it most likely got worse, especially with Reginald always demanding for all of them to go all the way until the end (basically). I would have loved to see more of him.. I really liked the idea of his character. Same goes for Jayme. I think both their powers had potential to lead to amazing, hilarious and interesting fight sequences. But who knows maybe we’ll be getting more of them in season 4🌝🙋🏼‍♀️

My theory on Alfonso ability is that his power isn't automatic, as in he cannot automatically transfer injury and need to actually focus. This is why Diego is still able to land some hits without being deflected. Also, I don't think Alfonso is completely immune from injury even after transfer hits. This is why he still relies on hand to hand combat to weaken his opponent instead of over relying on his ability which could injure him over time - hence the fallen chin, disfigured face and generally poor mobility on his legs

That's a good theory, yours makes more sense. I was thinking it has to be skin on skin, because most of time Diego was hitting him through clothes or with his boot and all that. But I don't know.

Personally, I'm just glad that Luther and Sloane actually got together this season. I actually predicted that it would be happen since Sloane is an idealistic romantic that wanted to escape the pressures of being a Sparrow and live an independent life which also sounds like Luther. Luther also wanted to be with someone that made him happy and sure of himself so he can see how ecstatic he was when she thought he was a sweet person and thought that it was cool that he went to the moon.

The grandfather paradox is a self-contradictory situation that arises in some time travel scenarios that is illustrated by the impossible scenario in which a person travels back in time only to kill their grandfather (who could no longer go on to produce one's parent, and hence where does that leave you and your ancestor-killing event?)

I think Sloane and Luther are the cutest thing! that scene where she floats him to her window is so adorable ❤️

I love the unpredictability of it all. Most ordinary TV shows don’t cut it because i can see everything coming. Hate that. This show and a few others consistently surprise me. In good ways The Boys goes a bit beyond that, but this is a different discussion. I like that Marvel still manages to surprise me, especially considering how familiar I am becoming with the source material. Of course, a lot of people objected to the Ultimates universe, and that’s the one that gave us the absolute best Spider family. Reinterpretation is a good thing. This show is one of my favorites and this season in particular. The dance off? Hilarious.

Many people say they don’t like the season because it’s too confusing and has „plot holes“. Which absolutely isn’t the case when you pay close attention. I really loved this season because they managed to do something completely different from seasons 1&2 this season and that’s something I really appreciate. It’s still fresh you know! I love seasons 1 & 2 just as much but I just really loved the different feel it has!

Let me say this, the Grandfather Paradox they're talking about (moms dying before their births) isn't the only one. The other Grandfather Paradox is they went back to 1963, met and angered their future dad who refuses to adopt them in future, then go back to 2019... well, if the dad didn't adopt them, there was never an apocalypse in 2019, so the Umbrella Academy never goes back to 1963, and never meets or angers Reginald Hargreeves, which means he WILL adopt then 1989. Thus, another paradox. This is the one that bothers me. Technically, the other one trumps this paradox for the simple fact that they're never born, and if they're never born... well, I guess the same thing, except it doesn't repeat over and over, and their mothers' deaths aren't their fault unlike everything in the other paradox.

that would probably be a different kind of paradox as the "grandfather paradox" is usually about something that unravels an individuals existence not the actual time travel.

@@calvintyler9281 but it's the principle. The GP is about changing time in a way that prevents the timetraveler from doing initial act of going back in time. I think it's called the Grandfather Paradox simply because it's the easiest example to explain. Now, say you go back in timeand kill your grandfather, but in a era that will not alter your existence. That's another paradox all its own... if you kill grandfather, but still exist, you'll never have to invent the time machine, thus you'll never go back and kill your grandfather. And it repeats. Like going back to kill baby Hitler... if you kill baby Hitler, history will be greatly changed, and in this new future you won't have a reason to back and kill baby Hitler.

It’s been pretty obvious from the beginning that they could alter elements of time without causing paradoxes. For example, originally they all die in the house and Luther has an eye, but that doesn’t happen the second time around. Example #2, the only reason they try to fix each apocalypse is because Five saw it happen, but they stop the second one without that being an issue. Example #3, the meeting of the Fives. Five would’ve known how to stop the original apocalypse and been his own age. All of those should have been paradoxes, but they weren’t. I think the Grandfather Paradox only counts this time because when they altered the timeline it was done in a way that unraveled their existence instead of changing the circumstances of their existence. TBH, there’s no perfect answer.

@@darthgrievous8055 yes, i get what you're saying. But none of those examples prevent going back in time to the 1960s. They were small changes, but still led to the same circumstances. Now, example 3, I don't think changing the future from a point in the past would be possible, not like that... sending the way to change it to the future immediately and skipping all those years. I would say anything that happens in the past would definitely change the future instead of changing the future in the future, but it would've have immediate effects. Since time is like a straight line of string, the past gets first dibs at altering things.

Sloane is now my favorite character in season 3.

I think it just felt different, tho maybe the lack of a classic villain (rip the handler) is creating the offness? It’s the only thing I can think of. This season was also more character relationship focused than other seasons I feel. Loved this season but it def leaves more questions than answers haha (personally I prefer it that way)

I always thought of it like this; if you were able to go into the past, you'd actually be make a new, second time line. Your old time line doesn't cease to exist, but continues on without you, and nothing you do in the past will affect it or it's future. In the second time line that you create, you can just go buck wild, because it won't matter if you kill your grandfather...sure, THAT time line's 'you' won't be born, but 'you' (the time traveller) are already there and will continue to exist (barring even more shenanigans).

The way Allison, and the other characters refuse to understand time travel and changes in the timeline is very annoying to me. Like bro, Claire probably wouldn’t have existed either way if so much of Allison’s life from not being in the Umbrella Academy is changed and even if it didn’t it wouldn’t be her daughter, it would be this timeline’s Allison’s daughter.

honestly clair stopped existing after the first season because either Allison would need to have sex with Patrick again and have the exact same baby or this alternate universe would have clair but news flash Allison you're not her mom- her mom is a you who was never adopted by Hargreeves so unless you kill yourself and impersonate her this ain't working. these were the good options there's way worse ones.

But even if there was another timeline of Umbrella Academy members that never actually became the Umbrella Academy, that sets up ANOTHER Grandfather Paradox. If they never became the Umbrella Academy, that means the 2019 apocalypse NEVER happened. And if there was no 2019 apocalypse, then the members of the Umbrella Academy never had a reason to travel to 1963 to begin with, which means they never influenced or impacted the future in any way (i.e., meeting Reginald Hargreeves) to cause any change, so then the timeline is corrected. However, it will happen again, and again, and again... thus, another paradox.

Last one would be more likely since Claire had nothing to do with the umbrella academy, she was part of Allison's "normal" personal life. Which is probably what she was hoping/assuming since until 5 explained it, they thought they had just been reinserted into a different timeline, not as extras.

I hate the fact that they changed Vanya to "Victor". You're an actor, you pretend to be someone else. It didn't happen originally, so they shouldn't have done it. Vanya was my second favorite character in the show, now I hate her.

To be fair, Elliot told the lead writer that he was fine with Viktor remaining as Vanya. He just let them know that he was out as trans, but didn't mind either way if they changed Number 7's gender. It was the writer's decision to tweak the role to better fit Elliot as an actor, and in my opinion, they worked it in pretty naturally. I think they did a good job! I understand why you might be upset, but it wasn't forced representation. There was a good reason for it.

What a crock, a TV series now has to go transgender... It was unreal enough and now vanya identifies as Victor wtf... I liked this series as soon as that happened deleted. Do what you want in your own home stop forcing this stupid rubbish down people's throats...
