The problem with this is that, while Reginald never saw Ben, the group certainly made him aware of Ben's existence. I find it hard to believe that he somehow missed all that. Which to me suggests that it was not an automatic decision to exclude all the Umbrella Academy alums from his new batch, but a more sophisticated process of calculation.

@@renx81 I think in the dinner scene, they told Reggie that one of them was dead, but they never described what Ben looked like or even mentioned his name. So when Reggie went to South Korea to buy Ben, he didn't know that the baby was his son in the original timeline. Still don't know how he knew to avoid Klaus, Luther, and Five since it wasn't obvious by their names or ethnicity who their mothers were. Avoiding Five seems like a bad move, since he's the most useful. He obviously knew to avoid the Mexican mother, just in case it was Diego. He could guess that Vanya came from the Russian one based on her name. Allison could've been from anywhere, but he still could've chosen to avoid her South African mother - then again, Fei also seems to be a black or mixed race woman so he ran the risk of the baby being Allison. Maybe he didn't mind since she wasn't as chaotic at the dinner. x (Sorry if I got Fei's ethnicity wrong, but the internet just says Britne Oldford is Canadian, so I don't know)

@@ginae.2462 Wow, I thought I went hardcore deep into this series, but you truly bested me on that aspect 😂 I honestly have no counterarguments to what you just said. Except that I somehow doubt that even the creators of the show thought it through that deeply! 🤣 Regardless, it's amazing that a story can engage us this much to begin with. Another show like that, where you can analyze endlessly, is Dark.

This season was terrible! Klaus was the only good part of it.. It feels like they rushed a lot of stuff.. I hope the show ends here cause my God.. I'm scared about what we might get next

I really wish they'd check Sandman, but for now, I'll gadly take Umbrella Academy. :)

I think they'll definitely check it out at some point, they seemed intrigued by the trailer and Eric's familiar with the source material, they just have a busy schedule currently, can't wait for when they get to it though if they do

Im obsessed with The Sandman such a great show

Regarding the fact that Lester only uses tapes: Back in s1, all of Hargreeves' security footage was on video tapes, and Allison was using a microfiche reader at the library instead of a computer. Nobody had cell phones either. So it's not that Lester prefers analog, it's just how this world is. (I think the most advanced technology we see in the show is Grace, who I guess is just WAY ahead of her time here)

Harlan’s dad did die. Sissy pointed a gun at him and when he tried to wrestle it away it went off and fired a bullet in Harlan’s direction and Harlan deflected it into his dad, killing him

To answer your AJ question, Five killed the board at the Handlers request (in a great fire ax montage). He smashed AJs fish bowl but kept him alive and gave him to the Handler. The Handler later swallowed him alive which was a fun moment. In the comics, Five did though so we were robbed of that!

i watched that season so long ago i almost forgot about the dance off. favorite part of the reaction. such a funny sequence ! glad they are reacting to s3 !

This season is so good. Loved every second of it.

Loved it, but i fucking hated every moment Alyson was on screen. terrible writing.

Regarding Lester Pocket's casette tapes, Umbrella Academy seems to take place in a very anachronistic future, their 2019 has always looked very different to our 2019, with no one having cell phones, cars still having that older boxy look, and computers only really existing in public libraries

I liked this season but now I'm remembering how much they destroyed Allison's progression in this season and makes me hate her so much. So glad you're watching it now!

It's kind of nice that you're gonna react to it with a delay, I already somewhat forgot that this show exists, and it doesn't deserve that. I hate Netflix's binge drop formula, it kills fandoms and shows. It's gonna be a nice refresher to watch it again with y'all.

This season is polarizing. Especially in regards to one specific character but I'm interested to see how you guys handle it.

@@IceMetalPunk As did I. It shifted them. And it helps if you realize they've been essentially running non-stop ever since their dad died, it kinda makes sense that some of them would have adverse reactions to a lot of what happened.

It's the dance scene and the fight scene that makes perfect examples why I absolutely love this show.

favorite season! im so glad they made Luther more likeable, and the diner convo btwn Victor and 1 was badass. also the relationship btwn Klaus and the dad was a highlight. The only possible neg is Allison but i think theres good enough justification for why she is such a hardass this season.

I loved this season so much, it’s so kooky and off the rails but in the best way possible.

The Handler killed AJ/the fish guy! 5 cracked the tank and left him for dead, the Handler put him in a fish bowl. You thought Diego because Diego was at the Commission at the time, but he didn't do anything with him-- Herb got a secret message from AJ using the pebbles in his bowl and told Lila that 5 killed her parents, so the Handler swallowed him.

For me personally, I take the Marcus background scenes and flipping around as just a weird style (maybe inspired by the comic book?) and that made it fine for me.

maybe the young love thing is because if it’s young girls getting pregnant since they’re more likely to not be in a place to raise a child it’s easier for him to be able to adopt them. they’re basically just older children themselves so they’re more likely to not want the babies. An older woman who’s maybe married and already wanting a baby with her husband is a lot less likely to give the child up to Hargreeves than a teen.

yeih you guys are finally reacting to season 3! nicee! I gotta say this season was something else and.. I really loved it. Felt like a fever dream all the way through 😂I think you could really feel the change imo regarding why the age rating went up there was alot more swearing, alcohol/ drugs as well as violence and sexual innuendos, I think it is very fitting. Can't wait what you guys are going to think. At first I was a little unsure for the direction the season was going to take but as soon as we reached episode 4 I was absolutely hooked for every second man.. ! They did a brilliant job and we had really great character arcs and twists .. so good cannot wait 💃🏼 🪩 🥂
