Indeed volatility is more predictable... however i think the pricing of options is done according to the implied volatility so in order to be profitable we dont have to just predict higher volatility but also higher than the implied one, is that correct?

this is hands down the best trading channel on youtube, but you have to be at a certain experience level to truly appreciate it. Eduardo is in the top0.5 % of trading educators i’ve experienced since 2009 when my trading journey began his course are for serious traders who understand that trading is extremely complex and that you can’t arbitrarily throw a couple of indicators on a chart with some trendy strategy and expect to be a billionaire in 6 months 😂 he understands the market from so many angles and perspectives it’s nothing short of remarkable i dont know him on a personal level but he is always professional and respectful and his customer service is impeccable eternal salute to one of the few honorable educators you can find at any level of trading or in any domain of academia 🫡💪🏾🙌🏾

Hi Ed. I am interested in your E-books (I have been for a while but have decided until now to focus on currency trading, using your price action analysis techniques), but I am unsure where to start with them. How are your books related? Are they all centred around different variations of the Black-Scholes model or something? Are they all completely unique? Where do you recommend I start with them? I feel the need to branch out and try different things with my trading/investing. Thanks

Have you ever considered making such analysis for chart analysing strategies?@@fractalflowpro

You present it as if it is a money printing machine. I am not an options trader, but I know from experience that there is always something that makes these types of strategies much less interesting. Is this still profitable as a scalping strategy given the high transaction costs?

As I said, there are risks with it. The risk of option erosion with the passage of time (Theta) and the risk of volatility dropping (Vega). You can still lose money here, but the point is that it's a lot easier to trade volatility than it is to trade price.

  • @daveanderson8348

@@fractalflowpro Totally agree with the volatility instead of price part. This has been well proven to me in recent years ;-) Depending on how high the Theta and Vega risks and transaction fees are, this could be a good strategy to exercise.

Ideally you use futures or something like a leveraged reverse QQQ for the short side. The commissions are small and the leverage makes good use of the volatility. The other key is the fact that normal shares or contracts are linear while options are non-linear.

I’ve been running the numbers on this all morning and it’s not working with anything in the scalping range. Even three days of price movement on QQQ isn’t enough to make this profitable. Even in your example you are talking about 20%-30% moves in price. How is that “scalping”? Those are big moves. They are swing trading moves where Theta is going to tear you up.
