so as someone thinking very seriously of retiring early to Portugal this year.....is PT high on YOUR list as somewhere you would move? Do you have another country you like better? Just found your channel and am really enjoying your videos. If we stay in the USA, we would have to work until both of us are 65 because of healthcare....In PT we could retire now. But if we move, we want to move forever. Not just go for a couple years. Is Portugal a forever kind of country....I know this is hard to ask as a couple who loves to travel....but still I have to ask.

It's a very hard question for us hahaha we don't really have a list of places to settle, BUT we did say to each other when we left Portugal, hey we could live here! Like we kind of meant it, but we're also not at all serious about settling anywhere any time soon. Hope this makes sense and that our answer is not completely useless!! We really hope you guys are able to retire early! I'm guessing you've been to Portugal already right? Anyways, thanks so much for reaching out and asking us the hard questions :) Sending a big hug from Malaysia! 🥰

@@waysofstyle_ Thanks....we have not visited PT, and may just make the move and if we don't like it move back to the USA, but we are hoping to make a permanent move....I like asking people who have a worldly perspective their opinion on Portugal. We have never even been outside of the USA, so we know very little. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.....hope you are enjoying Malaysia....I have heard it is a wonderful country.

My favourite country on the planet. Spent lots of time in the Algarve growing up. Amazing place. Then there’s Lisbon, which in my opinion, is the best city in the world.

I'm going to Lisbon for 4 weeks later in the year to celebrate Christmas/New Year's and even though I have everything booked, I'm still binging videos on Lisbon/Portugal to learn more. I'm curious where you found an automatic transmission car to rent for $50 per day. We are visiting Portugal in April and the prices I'm finding are much higher...like $100 per day.

Wow that's crazy!! And we thought 50 was expensive!! We rented with 'Ok Mobility' in Faro and with 'Drive on Holidays' in Porto - maybe check them out? We booked online both times and had a great experience with both companies. All of this info and more is detailed in the PDF linked in the description ;) Good luck finding a cheaper car rental 🤞🏼

Hello - we were there end September through October. We did have quite a bit of rain in Lisbon at the end of October. April, May & October are probably the best for nice weather and somewhat lighter crowds. Although those are not optimal beach months. So... it kinda depends what you want to do 😉
