@@Feligresa Yeah, I get that, but also a Gold leaguers execution is going to be much worse. Harstem does BGMWSS but that doesn't mean that people in Gold league should try to emulate the build just because "If Harstem can beat GMs with this then I should be able to get to GM with this."

@@CyRxJustin Harstem doesn't tell people that his beating gm strats can work at lower levels, so why make the comparison? Those aren't builds, they're just for fun. Instead he recommends a build(i.e this one) that is an actual build. There is a difference. "Execution" of the build doesn't have to be GM level when your opponent is just as bad as you are.

@@Riceyes But thats not true, some people are much better than u are but worse in other aspects. My opening and macro is probably bronze level but my micro is better than my diamond friends so im placed low plat. So I believe that execution of sub-optimized builds do need to be at a higher level especially if your enemy is executing an optimized one (albeit poorly) An optimized build with bad execution would do better than a non-optimized build with bad execution.

I can imagine Harstem playing/reviewing a dating sim like he plays starcraft. "Open up with a two date expand. We wont flirt, flirting is for losers"

This video made me super excited to jump back into starcraft so I studied the way you played it, wrote the build order down and practiced it over 10 times against the AI. Then I went into matchmaking and lost 20 games in a row trying to play this build. Feels bad man.

Cheesing doesn't work in reality. What cheesers do is they only publish the one recorded video they have where they happened to win. You don't see the countless countless countless times they get destroyed into little pieces

That Widowmine hit at 41:22 took out at least 17 Zerglings, and then the follow up was another 25! I'm not saying it won you the game, but it was at a pretty critical part of that game in which your battle could of gone either way. Actually, hey probably won you the game. Nice playing!

It might be neat to see you playing off-genre indie games like Factorio or Kerbal Space Program. Could do that on stream so you can ask the chat for info, then have Hamster edit it down to something youtube-length.

@@qtest202 The cool thin about those games is that you can cheese in single player. For KSP, at least.

@Harstem, if you send the MULE to the far away patches it completes 9 trips, but does not have enough time to mine pick up the 10th load. This way you get the same money out of the MULE as you would on a near patch per life, but the trade off is it yields 7.5 less minerals per minute.

I don't recommend doing that though. Because the far patches are always the once with less minerals and if you MULE patches they get mined considerably faster. So you are saving 25 minerals per MULE but you are lowering your income permanently much faster by having less patches to mine from.

Harstem, about the mules dropping minerals, if you place them on the far mineral patches they won`t be able to mine those 25 minerals and will die before that, due to the longer time, needed to travel to the CC and back. In that way you will not lose those 25 minerals.

Harstem, you may like Command & Conquer Red alert. its a RTS classic, and was remastered last year in Steam, so looks great. Is fast paced as Sc.

You won't be able to get too far with cheesing it's just pretend internet points.

i i just made a build 3 rax hits at 3.35 with 5 marines a marauder and stim or combat shields about to finish and another stream of 4 marines and marauder crossing...you hit at 3.35 with the 4 marines to stop any bunker or before a second stalker. if they are greedy you win and you can micro any other early agression.

Harstem being like : "Gooood I suck". I know it's irrationnal but we all can relate!

Yeah, music makes the game. A valid talking point. I feel the same way about older games like heroes of might and magic 3 or Tzar burden of the crown. Like, I wouldn't enjoy it as much without the music.

I have some funny ideas for a terran beating grandmaster with stupid stuff. Play hellclone mech with mines, and drop the hellions and mines with medivacs. Another idea is going bio but rushing fusion core for medivac speed, and trying to let the opponent scout and think its battlecruiser.

Could you explain the point of APM and how it helps you. I specifically mean in terms of the random (seemingly random) clicks and camera changes especially early game. Thanks
