24:00... I think it works like this - chrono gives 50% boots over 20s (30s of work in 20s), and a probe takes 12s to build. So: recall = save one probe, cost 50 energy, delay 4 seconds chrono = get a replacement probe, cost 50 energy + 50 minerals, delay 8 seconds At a glance, it looks like recalling the probe is better than chronoing a replacement for _one_ probe. But recall runs the risk of losing the probe before it comes home. Considering _more than one_ probe - chrono basically packs 30s into 20s, so you gain 10s of production time for a chrono. That's less than the total build time for one probe. Recall still wins.

final stats recall: 1 full probe chrono: 5/6 of a probe, -50 minerals compared to recall. Recall gives 4s of mining time over chrono on the first worker, but that's pretty negligible (~3.666 minerals)

I got SC2 when it first came out, sucked at it and was awesome at halo wars so I gave up on it immediately. I saw this series and thought I would give the game a try again. Now, its my favorite and I am actually getting better! Love your channel!

This is such an awesome series man, thanks for the cool games and definitely I would enjoy seeing cheese to top 10! So please for me do feel free to keep at the cheese as long as you really want, it's always entertaining and leads to such nice games (at least for the cheeser).

Amazing how after all these years of SC2 you can still see and/or learn something new and exciting. People often tell me i'm wasting my time watching these "Space shenanigans" instead of actually playing but i disagree 100%. Best half an hour a day to chill, laugh and have a cold one after a long day of work. Cheers!

Just got back into sc after many years, will be watching these.

I think the better math question is if mules are actually any good vs calling down a supply depot. A mule gives a temporary boost to mining, and will "drop" some minerals on its last trip as it runs out of energy minerals disappear. A supply drop gives you 100 minerals and the mining time of the SCV.

Great, I have recently seen old troll games from Dragon, a lot of fun to watch was a cheese series in which he made only PF's and Orbitals, using scans & mules to take all the opponents recourses, only turrets and the only unit made was Raven.. Dunno if this possible on GM lvl.

With respect to chrono nexus vs recall scouting probe: recall the scouting probe is actually better, but if you have an aggressive build and want to chrono your gateway or warp gate research, there's justification to not recall the probe.

Maths says Recall is better because when recalled the probe can start mining right away AND you don't have to spend minerals to get it back, just energy on the Nexus.

New series idea: wings of liberty builds to grandmaster

I wouldn't mind seeing a greatest hits finale: redo the "Wait, is this actually really strong?" cheeses and either find out the counter or continue the series until someone figures it out.

You should keep doing this until you loose MMR 2-3 episodes in a row. We all want to see how far you can go, and this gets even more interesting the higher the MMR gets. Seeing top level cheese games is really the peak of starcraft entertainment!

Forgive me if this has already been established I havent watched all the cheese to GM videos yet but I think it would be okay to do other kinds of cheese like greedy cheese. I dont think all cheese needs to necessarily end the game quickly. It would make sense to call an extreme greed build cheesy too. I think it could be fun to bend what you mean by cheese a little bit.

If a chrono saves the time to produce a probe, then you save the cost of the probe by recalling it.

I think the last game could've worked better for the Protoss player if he at least know how to use High Templars since Psionic Storms melt Marines especially without the Medivac. Also, aside from the Stalkers, seems like Protoss in general don't have an answer to early cheeses. Now I fully understand why most players rush their Protoss opponents.

Suggestion: 2 vikings in medivac with scv's in medivac on auto repair. Test your micro.

Hmm does rushing out nuke in early game consider cheese? I maybe never seen that in high level yet.

Chrono lasts for about 3 probes i think. Shaves 10 seconds off of upgrades.

I don't think a single high level player cares about APM besides memes, there's just nothing to do early on if you're fast enough so we just spam a little bit and keep the tempo up I guess
