The Ultimate One Shot Sampler! Padshop 2 VST

Музыка

A video about Steinberg's Padshop 2 granular VST/AU plugin for one shot sounds. For some reason people are going back to one shots for production. I personally think it's cool because you're saving CPU performance (if your computer isn't powerful enough to handle a ton of plugins) and one shot's can be manipulated into cool sounding drones etc.. I've had this plugin since October 2019 but now I realized how strong it is for wav files.

All my love to you Ave for finally showing off some of Steinbergs fabulous products! And if You like this Padshop(which is included in Cubase) it's nothing compared to the whole Cubase package. And if you're doing ADR work then no daw even comes close to Cubase. I have them all (almost). I have pro tools, Logic, FL, and of course Ableton and I swear on my heart that Cubase can do it ALL! Even video integration with a seamless exchange of audio, extremely good warp engine, I can do everything I can in Melodyne only easier (not the most advanced version of Melodyne tho, but then the most advanced version of Melodyne cost like three times the price of Cubase. I know Cubase also can be a bit expensive and since it has so many features it can also be a little daunting in the start to learn but I recommend everybody to try it for 30 days (full functionality). Those of you who haven't tested it will be blown away by what it offers and what it can do! But You sure put a smile on my face today Ave by showcasing Padshop. I have been an alpha and beta tester for Steinberg for nearly ten years now so I know it pretty well. And I see more and more major studios change out pro tools with Cubase. 👍👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️

My experience with the latest Steinberg products: At first glance they look complex complicated and capable, but once I learned the full extent of the software; I feel it has too many discovered limitations In my style of music, after putting in so much time and effort creating, things could have been done in a much quicker simple way. I searched RNB instruments in Halion Sonic, out of 6500 presets the results for this style showed only 14. These presets labeled 'Modern RNB' sounded like rnb from the Keith Sweat days. If you are in to rap hiphop and rnb, stay for away from Steinberg at this point they're on the opposite end of the spectrum.

@@yahslimitlessvisionoftruth3336 hey, I seen mostly guitars rock and EDM stuff. The Vibrant Ep suite has decent sounds that could be used outside of there tight zone. but plain and simple, they market for mostly music for film, video game, EDM and rock production imo.

I make hip hop with Shoegaze packs and RnB with cinematic guitar sample packs, like hip hop is all about the processing and drums. Take that Keith Sweat rnb and speed up the bpm then throw halftime, rc 20, and a band pass filter on it. Boom. Trap soul.

  • @claudestylee1

@@Byronic19134 I can also take some bongos kalimba and African flutes to make something that sounds like EDM music lol, not serious. but the fact is All Steinberg products caters to production from the western society, even down to the tone. I spent hours trying to craft a Trap type 808 bass in Retrolouge 2. Downloaded Sylenth1 made a more suitable 808 sound in 5 minutes first time using it. Sylenth1's rich tone and timbre gave me a broader feel to craft the sound into what I'm looking for. While Steinberg's Retrolouge's tone seemed limited and trapped and sad to say, generic when it comes to this style of music.

You don't need a sound labelled as "RnB" to make RnB. Many sounds are universal and can be used in many genres: synth leads, basses, piano sounds, strings etcetera. Just because a string patch is not labelled "RnB" doesn't mean you cannot use it for RnB. If you are looking for an RnB sounds rompler, why not get one? You cannot judge a DAW based on that it doesn't have preset sounds labelled "RnB" - that's just lame! Yes, Steinberg does not specifically cater to any genre or community. Yes, their sound packs (which I never used despite being a 20+ year Cubase user) market to specific genres, but that's purely based on their understanding of what's popular and has nothing to do with whether Cubase is suitable for other genres or not. The type of available soundpacks and the suitability of a DAW for a specific genre are completely unrelated, unless you rely on those sound packs and have no skills in sound design and sound creation with other tools! Steinberg are a traditional stiff German tech company (I'm Black German and if you understand the prevalent German mentality, you would understand what I mean: very accurate and pedantic, but also a bit stiff - each pro comes with a con). Cubase is my favorite out of all the traditional linear DAWs (except for Logic, but I work on a PC). It does stuff precisely and efficiently, even though it has become a bit stiff (like the Steinberg German office guys) when you compare it to more performance oriented and intuitive-workflow DAWs like Ableton (also German, but totally different concept). For example: Pro Tools is completely underwhelming to me, after I worked with Cubase. Cubase is much more consistent and well-designed (more thinking went into the UX design and the functions), which is typical when you compare American vs German engineered stuff - the Americans are typically not that consistent and structured and therefor release inferior products (take American cars vs German cars as an example).
