Not necessarily a glitch, you're just in the wrong "TRIM" window, when attempting to access the time stretch function. Follow me...I'm going to first attempt to recreate your glitch...After you assign a sample to your pad, press the main button. Now press edit samples, before doing anything else...press process then double tap"function window" to bring up all your function options. I think this is where you're experiencing the "glitch". Time stretch along with some other functions should be grayed out (not letting you select them)....Now hit cancel or press main. At the main screen press edit samples BUT this time press the TRIM option on the screen (the first square under the TRIM option should be highlighted "white")...now press PROCESS then scroll or double tap your FUNCTION window...nothing should be grayed out (all options are available). If you press TRIM prior to editing/chopping your samples, you'll always have TS available when time to process....Did this help or nah?

i also get that issue where Time Stretch doesn't show up. also happens with Discard sometimes and i figured out the same workaround you did lol!

Quick Question: If you left the 80bpm drum loop like it was, with the sequence at 80bpm, then increased the sequence bpm to 115 to match the sample, would the drum loop track also increase it's bpm speed as well? Or do you HAVE to time stretch it? Thanks.

I’m not 100% sure I think it would but the tempo increase would change the pitch significantly and make it sound kinda shitty which is why time stretch is goated it keeps the pitch the same

Yes make sure it’s also chosen as non destructive slice and it’ll make it into its own drum program

How come the Time Stretch function is always greyed out for me?? It wont let me timestretch, what am i doing wrong?

Here’s what you can do bro it’s not possible on the Mpc live but you can duplicate the 3 bars then cut off the bars until you have 4

Logic has an option to drag. A sample to nearest even bar .. example 3.3 bar can be pulled and stretch to the fourth bar …

My time stretch definitely is not working on my mpc live 2 ,even after I extract the sample

Hmmm it could be the current software version you are on . Try updating or downgrading to another version

Yea it’s helpful if you use drum breaks and want to match them to the bpm of a sample
