You're stealing video ideas from Fro just like how you stole his hair style. Guess I better make one of these too.
Funniest video ever. Fro is annoying and your right recommends the most expensive stuff of everything.
I know you recommend the 200mm AI AIS , how about the 200mm Q f4. you have to stop; making vids......I am lens rich and money poor...lol
He did mention the 24mm, 35mm and 85mm almost as an afterthought. I don't think he owns them personally so he added them in on the fly.
Good fotografers do not use many lenses. Lenses 30 years old if they are in good condition are inaf good. Lens and camera do not do good pictures. Good picture doing fotografer. If he know, how see object his camera. And if he know use + or - camera and objectiv possibility. And his artistic skills. I' all my life using only two objectives in 99,9%. And owning also many of them.
it would be great if you could write out or list out the lens so we could searching and find out more about those lens. thanks.
Shout-out to the Fro!!!...
Go to sleep dude get rest!
you mean Fro really don't know!?!?!!
Why would you recommend some "old crappy lens" that the Reviewer has to actually pay for? Also no commission from linking the review to Amazon...
I will agree with you on the 180mm f/2.8. I only shoot it with my F2 or FM2, and while using it for event photography, I was shocked by the close-ups I was able to shoot of performers on stage. Also love the 35mm f/2D for the price!
I took Nikor 70-300G VR f4.5-5.6 I love it, it is amazing and it is also for full frame and DX
got the chance to actually use the 105 DC Nikkor and holy shit ..... absolutely the best lens I've had the pleasure to use.
love my 300mm F4 AF-S, fantastic for birds, purchased a year ago after watching this video, would love to get 2.8 but too expensive
Your recommendations have been spot on. I'm still lovin the 58mm Voigtlander and I'm truly impressed with the 100mm Tokina so far. Thanks again for the straight shit. I viewed that video while having coffee this morning and I thought it was April first already.
You are right about bird photographers using the 300mm f/4 for years but the new PF lens is not just a little faster but much faster. I was glad to upgrade even with the higher price tag. Speed is huge with small warblers flying all over the place and never staying still. Keep up the great lens reviews.
Yea its 7 years later but i really appreciate your information on lenses, ill have to look into some more of your videos for more info. The first items i bought was a smaller bag, my dream camera the D850 because im not really interested in mirrors less because i think they are just too expensive right now and there are tons of F mount used lenses on the market. The 50 mm Nikon lens, and the 70-300 mm that you recommend for now also a aluminum and carbon fiber tripods. I have some equipment from my D300 sett up and a heavy huge 300mm lens that i might sell. Would you recommend getting the battery addition that mounts to the camera if you really only take landscape and portrait photography? Thanks if you could respond
There is another youtuber who is a pro, many years of experience, images for Cosmo etc and a portrait studio. He is highly skilled in lighting and makes suggestions as to how to save money. His recommendation and one lens he is using at home for portraits - Tokina 100mm 2.8 for Nikon. Priced right, sharp, great contrast. I bought this based on Ken's recommendation and haven't looked back. From a value standpoint, very tough to beat.
I can't thank you enough for for pushing the Tokina like hell. I did an assignment recently using that lens and the amount of color and tones I got out of my RAW files was out of this world. Everything else I have pales (literally!) in comparison.
I love your videos! I really appreciate you sharing your depth of experience with us... I treasure it. Thank you :)
