For those who say that these products are expensive, I believe she's not wrong recommending them. Lot of beginners buy so many crap products and they end up spending the same money on some things that are not even that good. At least they buy just one thing that is good, will be used a lot and will last for a very long time.

This. People are impatient bc they’d rather not save up and instead buy the cheaper products multiple times over time which ends up just being more expensive in the long run with poor quality results. They ask what products they can get to improve the quality of their makeup, and then complain when it’s pricey. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (Edit: That’s not to say there aren’t good quality low cost products, but you cannot fault a professional for recommending tried and true products.)

People really need to STOP WHINING for drug store products on higher end make-up channels. You can’t expect her to recommend what she doesn’t know or doesn’t use. There are plenty of drug store channels or channels who review both drugstore and high end and can recommend dupes. I can’t buy everything she mentioned either. But I really enjoyed the video anyway and took notes of the characteristics / what type of product I could use. Keep up the good work Andreea ❤️

And of course, thank you for your video , I really appreciate your suggestions. I started to apply makeup a couple of years ago( I'm 61 now ) and you have been my best teacher. I try to take my time every morning and I even get up earlier just to have enough time to apply my makeup before going to work. I go for something light but I agree with you: it's empowering and relaxing and it has become one of the pleasures of my life!

I agree too, foundations may have beneficial ingredients for our skin, plus I think that when we wear full face makeup we take care of our skin, I mean double cleanse, more consistent skincare routine...

I am 24 yo and I've never applied foundation on my own. I've never touched a bronzer, a blush or a highlighter, but I love make-up as art.

It’s so interesting you say that foundation protects your skin. Me and a girlfriend who have worked in cosmetics for 10+ years started to notice during the Covid lock down that our skin was looking horrible. We went wearing make up because we weren’t working or leaving the house. We BOTH thought that our skin looked healthier and had less break outs when we were using foundation regularly. It’s so true that foundations having skincare in them really isn’t a gimmick like people once thought it was.

I love so many of these products! When I started watching your videos three-ish years ago it opened my eyes and have explored so many new and now favorite products.

Products discussed: 1. Primer/moisturizer 2. Foundation 3. Concealer 4. Setting powder 5. Bronzing powder 6. Blush 7. Eyebrow material (brow gel, pencil, brush, etc.) 8. Eye shadow 9. Mascara 10. Lip balm 11. Lipstick 12. Brushes

I found cream blush much easier as a beginner. Pretty much anything you can use your fingers with at first! Being pale, pink-nude lips were are no-go but a sheer berry works quite well. 😊

I love blush too. It’s my favorite part of doing makeup. I think it’s because I feel the most beautiful naturally when I’ve been outside in the snow or on the beach and I always have rosy cheeks then.

I love that I found your channel. You are so knowledgeable and have such a realistic approach. I have not really ever worn makeup and I am now 51 and I think I need to start. I watched so many videos of other "influencers" and basically spent a small fortune, not even knowing what I was doing... I wish I found you first. But I am glad for both because I now have a lot of expensive products and you can teach me how to apply them. I am mostly concerned with the texture of my skin aging and complexion products settling into lines and making me look older.

What she said was true. Since I started using foundation everyday, I didn’t had any breakouts. Then when the quarantine starts and I stayed at home for 2 weeks and my pimples started to pop up, so because of my stress i tried to put make inside the house while working at home and my breakouts started to heal. I don’t know if it’s the foundation or concealer. And i watch this video, now my questions are answered. Thank you pretty Andreea 💋

I have recently found your channel (where have I been???) and subscribed. At 63 I am not a beginner, but I really NEEDED this video to remind me of the basics, which is what I want/need right now in the pandemic covid virus days... I want the basics in a see through kit to SIMPLIFY. I want to be able to be succinct and untroubled by having to do my hair, my makeup, decide what to wear and what to do for my days sheltering at home...
