This dude is so enthusiastic about getting this guy his first snowboard. He's informative, makes direct eye contact, always smiling. You get the feeling he genuinely wants to be there. I want this dude to help me buy a snowboard.

Tim is asking great questions that helps us viewers learn more. So thank you for this video. Certainly helpful.
THIS answered EVERY question i had THANK YOU!!!
This is like Harry Potters wand shop.. Positive camper, popplar core, stiff, aggressive and unyielding. Every greenhorn should get this kinda "walk-through" Love it.
This felt like Complex's sneaker shopping but more wholesome, informative, and of course: for snowboards! Loved it
This is one of your best video’s Nev, well done. I remember buying by first board 20 years ago, purely based on the fact that the guy I bought it off could rip! Ive got mates that have been riding for 5 years that cold learn a bit from this one. Keep em coming!
Awesome information! I haven't purchased a new snowboard in 16 years and things have changed and advanced so much. This video definitely helped me fill in the gaps and he had some great questions I hadn't even thought of. Thank you so much!
I'm already intermediate but this video is awesome! Perfect for anyone just starting out and even plenty of info for more experienced riders 🤘🏾 thanks for putting this together!
you are simply the best! I literally came from zero knowledge about snowboarding 1 week ago and now I can ride and also I bought everything I have for snowboard from you videos, mate! Keep the awesome work!
I think this is by far the most helpful video I have seen around for beginners. Thank you bigtime!
What amazing customer service. Like legit.... I learned so much 😍👊🏻
what a fantastic buyers guide covering everything a new rider needs to know, I just wish this had been available when I started riding 10 years ago! Thanks for making it!

Had to laugh because I could have used this guide 20 years ago. I'm 6.3ft/191cm shoe size EUR 46/US 12 in combo with bad advice and no clue. Toe drag for days, wobbly as hell :D.
great video on the essentials. iv snowboarded maybe 15 times over 4 years and i learned a ton from this video. always just got cheap used shit - this helped my make the decision to get some gear better suited to my riding style
Just getting into it and this was the best video I've seen so far. Thanks
Great video! I remember when I first started snowboarding I just rode whatever I could get my hands on.
This was a really helpful video just looking at buying my first board now. Feel more confident in what I'm looking for now
Ahhh.... this just makes me feel so nostalgic for my first season as a snowboarder when I picked out my own first board. Such an exciting new time of discovery.

Great video. Came in very confused about what I needed in terms of gear, and after this I know exactly what I want. Thanks!
Amazing video, very detailed information. I learned so much and it was very enjoyable to watch! Thank you
Thanks for the in depth videos, helping me with my very first experience with snowboarding
Great Vid Nev. To add to the binding talk...the binding stiffness is something to strongly consider as it makes a noticeable difference to how responsive a board becomes.
@beamer_boi2995
2 жыл бұрын
What do u mean by binding stiffness?
@cnoevo99
2 жыл бұрын
@@beamer_boi2995 the material the binding is made from impacts how stiff the binding is meaning how much it flex’s. A soft binding means you can move around and it doesn’t transfer every movement to the board and hence is not as responsive but more forgiving if your off balance a bit.

I've been snowboarding for a couple years but never heard of the terms so thank you for explaining
We need one of these for skis ...man explained everything .....for basic to advanced
been riding a 162 camber since day one and my only regret is not having a shorter board for when I want to goof off on blue slopes. on red and specially black the long camber is just a treat.
This is the best explanation I've heard!
Awesome explanation for a rookie like me. Just what I needed. Thanks ‼️
Hey this is an amazing in depth guide. Really appreciate it as I'm currently in the market for a new board!
Good video. I just learned how to snowboard and this video helped me get fitted with the right gear.
thank you so much just grew out of my board and was looking for a new board but didn't know what size to get this helped me out so mmuch
Can I make a quick comment on how messed up is the way Canadians measure when a person replies with: I weigh 82kg and am 6 feet tall... Hahahahaha PICK ONE PLEASE (METRIC). Video is, per usual, amazing. The circle is also an amazing shop.

Great video! I’m on my fifth board and there is still good information in here. I think the advice on starting with a board that you can ride regular or switch is spot on.
Dont you love that moment when you think of a topic, and get the exact video the next day??
I just learned so much. Thank you 🤜🏼🤛🏼
So good at explaining in simple terms 👍
Great video. I wish there was one as to the point as this on skis!
I am new to snowboarding and this video helps me a lot! very informative :)
Good one, really comprehensive, thanks guy.
Excellent video just what i needed, thank you very much.
What a video. Just thank you. I am just getting into snowboarding and both of these guys are just perfect in terms of asking and answering my exact questions. The pure interest and excitement of them hypes me up and makes me wanna go out and shred. Thank you again form Hungary.

Maybe one more question - How does the angle of the "ankle support" on the binding effect the ride? Or does it at all?
Great and informative. My current board is too-- long/stiff--except for cruising. I'm Nevs weight, but 5' 6".
Enjoyed this! Solid video 🤙
Wicked, practical and very informative buyer guide series, thanks for that. You’ve mentioned about the Flow style of bindings. I use them for nearly 6yrs and can’t complain at all. Good to have a two options how you can strap your boots - from the back and the standard way. Ah btw what the tunes plays in background. I know this Chillout sound but can’t recognise it right now. Apart from psytrance music which I play for long time I also play Chillout music and would good to play this tune at the party :) Greetings from Poland. Thanks
Great video! Very clear and very helpful!
I live in the southeast of the USA. I’ve snowboarded twice. Probably the most fun thing I’ve ever done, and I want to do it more regularly without renting. This video is very helpful!

its so crazy, that nev nailed his business idea, expanded on it and has ever since been making top notch content... how often do new boarders get ripped by sales ppl? this is what a sales guy should do! too often they shove some expensive stuff down ppls throats, telling the propaganda the company puts as info with the board :(
@donwongjohnson3223

If you payed attention they guy bought a board that wasn’t recommended at all. The board that was recommended was a soft twin reverse camber board. The customer walked out of there with a stiff directional cambered board. No one every buys what is recommended because people want a cool graphic
Awesome advice !👍👋 very detailed . Thx for sharing .
Wow u the best dude thanks for sharing all these tips
Absolutely Amazing! Thanks man❤
Fun fact: The reflex bindings actually have a better Flex rate with the channel system then the EST's. + you can mount them on another board from another manufacturer.

First season on my board, didn't know anything explained in this video, luckily picked a Twin tip, hybrid camber board the only downside is that i got a bit of large boots, they're larger than my regular street shoe size i wear. Maybe next year i get myself another pair just for the snug fit.
Great tips except when talking about Burton EST system and bindings. I have had much better luck using non EST bindings with the channel system. The fact the EST bindings mount outside the feet instead of below on the feet actually make them come loose quickly due to the distance between mounting points causing more torsion and stress. I tossed my Burton EST bindings for traditional bindings with a disk that supports them and they work so much better. For instance you can mount any union binding on an EST channel board and have much better luck and not have to retighten them every single day. I use my Union Force bindings on my Burton Free Thinker and it works soooooooo much better than my Burton Cartel EST bindings. Other than that great vid. Just making sure people know they DO NOT have to get EST bindings, in fact, EST bindings are terrible.

I have the free thinker too and got the same experience. My bindings lost its position every single time i went fast and big. But i dont understand how the union force bindings can fit in the channel system?
Amazing video, very informative!
Cool, down to Earth video. Thanks.
For our first boards, my wife and I got cheap used boards for our first and second seasons that were intentionally a bit short and flexible for learning. Then we put out the money for nice boards when we were ready. It was cheap and we were able to hand-me-down our cheap boards to friends who wanted to learn.

Brilliant information; I had no clue!
After this great video i think i can open my own snowboard shop !!
Nice video but you don’t have to buy burton EST bindings to fit channel system. Many other bindings have discs that support both 4 by 4 and channel system. For example Burton reflex bindings and at least some union and flux bindings.
Just bought my first board(lib tech dynamo). After watching this i want to buy another one!:)
When I bought my first board, I just looked at the right length, width and graphics. Ended up with a stiff camber to learn it on. That was tough!!! Since this year I have a hybrid (C2x), much more forgiving and playfull indeed!

yup we all know our first board buying experience, just bought my first bord also, guy told me its good for beginners, but its a veary stiff board, mean while i had some test on some other softer boards and you notice the difference.

super detail 👍👏👏 very nice
Thankyou for this !
Great video, just for reference you don’t have to buy “Burton channel Bindings” for a channel board whatever brand it is. Almost every binding these days will go on it. And burton bindings go on 4 hole pattern boards also. But they do also have a specific binding for the channel (EST). I have burton bindings That I use on ride or capita boards and I also have Rome bindings I ride on my burton board. Not trying to be a know it all. Just wanting to add to the info here. Once again, awesome content. Thanks for the vid.
i wish every seller was like him. Most of people in stores want to finish the job fast and if you ask too many questions they cringe. His love for the sport is obvious.
Super helpful. Awesome.
Im the same height, weight and shoe size :OOOO I'm also looking for my first board and this is helping me alot. Thanks!
I liked this video a lot along with the 6 parts of beginner sessions, watched all of them and they helped a ton, thanks a lot! I was wondering what type of board did you pick at the end of this video?
Wider boards take more effort but are great for powder days and carving if you're willing to put the effort in.
I wish I had some walkthrough like this when I bought mine.
Fantastic video. Although i do feel bad for this dude.He didnt even get a chance to snowboard. The season had ended before my guy finished explaining the molecular structure of each individual snowboard.
I'm pretty sure I went to school with Tim (United Kingdom). I haven't seen him since my school days (like, 16 years ago). He looks super familiar and sounds the same. Was a year or two younger than me. No idea what his surname is though. Crazy 'small world' moment here to find him on a video whilst I'm searching out snowboarding advice haha. I am 99% sure it's the exact same guy. Awesome and educational video btw, this has helped me in making my own decision for my snowboard purchase.
Buying my second board and I wish I had known all this when I got my first one.
Great video
Great advice 👍
What board will do carving, and poppy for small jumps 180s sidehits. I like switch, and I need a good amount of torsional flex due to an old heel fracture. (Intermediate hard pack/icy) Thanks.☮️
Thank you so much for this video! Most of the time the tips I found on how to choose a board were very vague and general and didn't explain much and I always ended up discouraged. This is sooo helpful.
Thanks for the video great information. I’m motion sick from the camera
Wish i had this level of guidance when i got my first board! Suggestion: Tim is falls in your typical rider height and weight. Should diverse this and find people who sit outside the usual height/weight for comparison e.g. smaller dude thats on the heavy side or someone tall thats on the light side. Someone that wears smaller size boots or boots that are 10+. Other than that perfectly well informed video and the guidance, explanation is on point!

The best explanation ever I had.. I'm intermediate. I bought a rocker camber beginner and I learn to much in just only one season, I can run at blue runs after 2 months, next season I'll buy a full camber because I like curves, carving.. I'm looking for Ride Shadowban or Burton Custom (camber) profile.. I'm not considering fly banana style..
