Ok , why is it necessary to apply rotation and scale to a new mesh before adding materials?

Your videos are awesome! I'm also doing CG Cookie courses, but one of my struggles is knowing how to layer textures for different effects when creating procedural textures. Would love a guide on knowing how to approach workflow and node order! Some things make sense, like using a color ramp to control the mask of the noise textures, and using mixcolor to combine 2 textures into, say, base color, but when creating more nuanced effects, I don't always know how to order and manipulate textures and their coordinates to get layered effects! Your videos break things down so clearly I'd love to see how you think about this!

hey i have a question. Does the Materials from Poly Heaven have some license or can we used it for our models for selling and so on? Im new to that kind of stuff :D

How do you make your own PBR material from stuff you have at home?

I wish I could just push it through the screen and it becomes PBR, but stuff is confusing like always
