    These are tips to help you be more successful at beating defenders 1v1. Unfortunately, the beautiful game isn’t as simple as “always do this, or always do that.” So while some details like having belief in your ability will always help, some things like knowing what move you want to use isn’t always possible. Sometimes you have to take what the defender gives you and rely on your instincts. That tip is good advice, but it isn’t ALWAYS realistic. I just wanted to explain that there isn’t just one way to beat defenders. The scenarios in games are always different, so there isn’t just one answer to solve every problem. HOWEVER, these tips are great advice, especially for younger players or beginners who can’t rely on their instincts as much as older players. Experienced players may find a crucial detail or two to add into their skillset to make them a more effective dribbler too!

    You should play with them some and train on your own too! Just make sure when you play that you aren’t doing things that you can’t do against better players. Don’t form bad habits! Training on your own is important too since it will help you develop the technical side of your game👍🏼

    I replied to your other comment but just to make sure you see it, you definitely can! I’d recommend learning how to use your size to protect the ball! It’s harder for defenders to get around and not foul taller players who protect the ball with their size!

    @@StephenUyioghosa They are all fantastic channels! I recommend watching as many of them as you're able. Even if they cover the same topic, the way they present it may make one easier to understand than another! My advice for you wanting to play academy is to train as hard and often as you can. It certainly is difficult to join an academy at 20, but it is possible. Do your best and work your hardest because you don't know what you're capable of! And unfortunately, if you don't make it, at least you be happy knowing you gave it everything you had. There would be no regrets!

    The most common ways to see him unbalanced: Him being “flat footed” or not on his toes which makes his reaction slower. Seeing him step hard or heavy in a direction. If you see this cut and go the other way since it is hard for him to change direction with his momentum going the wrong way. I hope this helps😁

    How to look at defender while dribbling the ball close to feet?

  • @KreiderAcademy

    @KreiderAcademy

    9 ай бұрын

    Firstly, you need to be comfortable enough on the ball to be able to pick your head up. This isn’t just to analyze the defender, but to help you find passes, or angles to get shots off. To see the defender specifically, use your peripheral vision. If you’re looking at the ball, you should be able to see his feet and his hips to determine if he’s flat or in good shape. You will also be able to recognize if there’s space or if he’s tight to you. I hope this helps🙌🏼

    @@KreiderAcademy but when i do that i cannot see or analyse enough of the defender in my peripheral vision??

  • @KreiderAcademy

    @KreiderAcademy

    9 ай бұрын

    @@rachinsharma7197 Two things: firstly if the defender isn't in your peripheral vision, then you shouldn't be under much pressure and pick your head up anyways! You shouldn't need to look at the ball because you aren't navigating a congested area! Now if you somehow are under pressure and cannot see the defender in your peripheral vision then you need to develop that side of your game and your overall awareness. That makes me think you either aren't comfortable dribbling with your head up or you have tunnel vision (your focus is only on the ball). To work on this, work on the Ronaldinho dribbling drill since it forces you to look using your peripheral vision at the defenders (cones) ahead of you. Also, when playing possession games with your team, try to intentionally work on using your peripheral vision too! I believe this will help solve the problem! Let me know if you have any further questions or how it works for you!
