For me, the Luba 5000 beats them all. I had been using the Husqvarna 450 Epos but I kept having problems with it and it finally died. I ordered the Luba 5000 and within two hours of receiving it, I was able to map my back yard and mow it. I have it programmed to mow my lawn each Monday and Thursday. It works great.

I'd love yo get your reply to three questions. One is does it leave a lot of clippings that you need to rake or clippings are small enough to just break down on their own? Second, does undercarriage get caulked up with grass when it's damp or wet? Last is what if I have a tence between front and back yard, can I bring it to front manually to keep gate closed? Thank you so much for taking your time to reply 😊🙏

Thank you for the info and great video. Can you answer a few questions, if you have time? Does the Luba (5000) have to be stored outside on/near the lawn or can it be stored inside the garage? I'm affraid of theft? Does the Luba have a water/rain sensor? Off-Season Storage. There are approx. 7 months when I don't.can't mow due to snow/bad weather, etc. Can the Luba be unplugged for that time and not lose the programmed settings? Lastly, where can I veiw/purchase a "Wall Mount Charger" for the Luba 5000? Thank you for your time.

Hello, i’m Not really, sure if you can store the Luba Inside the Garage, because it need connection to the RTK-STATION. Maybe place it behind the Garage :) I personally would recommend to store the lube inside during the winter season! The settings remain. I am not sure if there is a wall charger available 🤔 Best regards

I have a regular Landroid with the boundary wire. Been very happy with both the product and the company. It’s been 4 years now. When the time comes for a new one I’d be interested in the Landroid vision but I have one major question….how does it handle the cement public sidewalk vs. the cement walkway that goes up to my front door and splits my front yard in two? I would not want it to cross the sidewalk but I would want it to cross the walkway.

@amoore2165 Hi, thanks for sharing the experience as well as the feedback! The problem described is very easy to solve with multi-zone management. So you can tell the robot to cross the sidewalk to get to the other zone. (Using RFID-Chips) I have already explained this feature in detail in the individual review. Landroid makes an off limits attachment and ACS attachment (both sold separately) eliminating the need for a lot for boundry wire. However a small handheld radio to a certain frequency can help detect where the wire break is.

OK, I've had the Landroid Vision and Luba AWD 1000 for a few weeks now. The Landroid Vision just isn't usable. It avoids brown patches, doesn't even cut the grass at any height, and gets stuck on its own magnetic border strips, which stick out on any lawn like a sore thumb. The length of strips included is also very short, and extras are $$$. The Vision gets stuck very easily and cannot find its way to its own charging base even on a small 20*20 test patch of flat lawn. The Luba is extremely good at cutting, but not as good at avoiding obstacles. Mammotion uses the front bumper, side bump sensors, and foreward ultrasonic sensors to detect large obstacles and collisions. The Luba itself can tackle any terrain easily, has a cutting deck almost as wide as the mower, and is quite precise and powerful. So far the Luba has been extremely reliable, but lacks some key software features that I'm hoping Mammotion will add in time, such as dead reckoning when RTK signal is poor. There are some signal dead zones around trees which cause the mower to stop, but it's easy enough to add no-go zones. Overall very happy with the Luba.

This was a very helpful and educational video thank you. I am still unclear which one I'd like to buy, as I know that most are not available here in NZ. And the bigger brand names here are John Deere, Huskvana and Ryobi. I've not seen the Lumba ones here yet but it looks far most suitable. When I checked the price here however it was the price of a small second hand car.. so that's a thing! ^_^ However I do appreciate all that I've learned. My biggest concern is where they store the grass/empty the grass, my lawn gets mowed once a fortnight and it grows enough to fill the compost bin every time, I'd do it more frequently but that costs both petrol and time, and the weed whacking the edges is a pain in the ass given I only have an electric one, (My petrol one leaked and I found all the tubing has eroded.) How do they empty and how often, do they need human input to constantly get rid of the grass clippings?

  • @TechIllusion-EN

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback on the video! I am very pleased to hear this! 😊 That's absolutely true, the price of these high-end robotic lawnmowers is not low. But I think in the long run such an investment pays off. Incidentally, the robotic mowers work according to the mulching principle. As the devices mow the lawn every day, only a minimal amount is cut off. These minimal gras pieces falling on the ground ans serve as nutrients for the rest of the plant. It is therefore not necessary to empty a collector or the like. Best regards

Couple of things. Mammotion have now announced that you cannot wash underneath and have a video showing how to clean. They have also announced that from end July shipments, the 5000 will have omnidirectional front wheels, like the 3000 & 1000. Hi, Thank you for sharing this kind of review but I want to share my experience with Luba 2 mower. The wifi connexion does not work. The support told me that indeed it was not working well with the Android app for Samsung phones. I tried then with my iPad, and the app found the wifi networks but could not connect. 2 weeks that I received the mower and cannot make it work. Support is awful, they say "please wait for the next software update". Seriously for a device that costs 3,000€? 1 month later: Finally, now with the last app update, everything is working fine and I am very happy with the Luba2 mower. Great device. I have a country side land with no mobile phone signal, my wifi is far as my land size is a big piece to mow. My field is really about different pieces with path really tight between them (10 cm free on each side of the mower) and it works well. Really happy about my purchase.

I'm thinking the Luba 1000 for me. One issue that I've not seen discussed is, in my example, I will have three, maybe four, zones. The largest, my backyard, has a fence and two gates. I have a dog so leaving either gate open is not an option. I'd like to just come home from work, open a gate, direct the mower to go through it and handle the other zones. I don't think it would need to recharge doing that. I'd need it to park itself by a gate, preferably signaling me, so I can open the gate and it can dock itself.

Luba doesn't need to be within line of site of the RTK station. In most cases the RTK station should be more than capable of communicating through the house. The bigger concern is making certain that Luba and the RTK station can see the same set of GPS satellites. That's why it's important to position the RTK station within clear LOS of the sky, and to be cautious of dense tree cover that might disrupt Luba's view of the satellites.

@aldozilli1293 I can't really imagine that. The only criterion would be the temperature. In summer, I also make sure to let the grass grow a little longer so that the soil and roots don't dry out so quickly. I don't think there should be much difference compared to the UK... 🤔

Yes to the Luba for the cutting width, straight lines, AWD, and slope ability, though I'm not fussed on the lack of manouverability caused by the drive mechanism (sacrifice one for the other). No to the Goat simply on the aesthetics and additional cost of the white beacons, but it didn't quite suit my property either. No to the Worx due to the narrow cut and random pattern. However, I like the convenience of the replaceable batteries for those times when it's essential the job is finished and don't have the time to recharge, or you want to do an extended area. etc Internal batteries on the Luba and Goat are restrictive imo. However, I don't see why you can't have replaceable batteries with the mower still returning to a dock to charge. If the objective is the optimum convenience of automaion, then manually charging batteries is an unnecessary human intervention.

Unless you have a flat lawn, with defined boundaries already in place, the Landroid Vision is a waste of money. You will need to create boundaries, regardless of the claim of zero boundary installation claim on the box. The vision portion works well enough in forward motion, but going in reverse, it will cross boundaries because it only has forward looking cameras, and only senses the magnet from front as well. The landroid will drive itself past the boundaries in reverse, and often be unable to get back into it's workplace if there is any downhill slope. With the weight of the Landroid downhill, I only had the experience of it spinning its wheels trying to get back to the work area. Some reviewers claim it has GPS navagation capability, which it does not. It only operates using the camera and its connection to WLAN, with zero control capability of the machine through the app, and requires installation of external antennas for communication between the app, cloud, and Landroid Vision.

First, many robotic lawn mowers are limited by cutting height! Many only cut up to 2.5" in ht. That is crazy to me as most northern US lawns need 3.5" cut heights. So, before I can even consider a mower, two mowers in this comparison are ruled out for me. The Luba at 2.75" and the Goat at 2.5". I currently have last year's model of the Worx Landroid WR140. It cuts up to 3.5" in height, but it gets stuck easily. It texts me for help at least twice per week. I have tried more aggressive tread and metal spike wheels. The metal wheels dig holes when turning. My Landroid also makes narrow tracks around the perimeter as it travels there so frequently. I hate the random patterns as it takes forever to mow the lawn.

Another big problem with this new VISION design is the advertised "Wireless Mower". This NOT true for most users in the U.S. If you do not have a visually different boundary between your lawn and your neighbors, the robot will mow both lawns. If the lawn is continuous from yard to yard, you will need to create a boundary with a continuously magnetic strip. Most of the lawns in my city are boundaryless from neighbor to neighbor. The magnetic strip option is needed to separate the yards from one another. And the magnetic strips is EXPENSIVE! I think I would rather have the wire. Wire is cheap. Also, the magnetic strip will need raising every few years due to grass covering it and signal gets weak. There has to be a better way!

Very good analysis but divide….. Please ditch the ai voiceover and use your real voice. If you did you’d get 5 stars rather than 4. 👍😀👏

@DJ-uk5mm Many thanks for the feedback and praise! :-) I can understand that. You could be forgiven for thinking it was an AI voice. I can promise that there is a real person behind the professional broadcast voice! An AI voice is not yet capable of generating such complicated voice overs. This would be immediately noticeable in difficult passages. I have already tested this myself several times... 😊👍🏼 Best regards

At kzread.info/dash/bejne/m5iqlMRwkbDAktY.htmlsi=x1CiOuSUZ-Zm1jb-&t=836, you said the blade disc of all 3 lawnmowers is centrally located so they won't get close to the edge. The Luba has two spinning rotors so there is no single centrally located blade. The Luba gets closer to the edge than the other two.

Yes thats right, that was a mistake on my end! The Luba offers 2 blade disks, so it has less space at the edge :) The Landroid is only slightly behind the LUBA in this regard 😊👍🏼

My Luba shipped three weeks after they claimed they shipped it. The unit will not charge. Never been used. Customer service is not responding. Four days since I emailed them. Their customer support is so terrible I would recommend not buying this robot.

Thanks for the comment, but I can reassure you, it's not an ai voice... ;) My main channel is German (kzread.info/dron/1EZNNj_Pxd4--79hhLzpvQ.html) and I've been working on translating the videos into English for a while now. For this I rely on a professional broadcast speaker and the editing is also done manually... Best regards

Ecovacs G1 GOAT is worst product I bought for long time. It is so stupid it is hard to describe. Gets stuck all the time, looses connection, the beacons sometimes disconnect, map is somewhat incorrect, edges does not cut, hard to get one day without issues. Terrible product, please avoid at any cost! UPDATE After 56 day's the robot died and will be returned to seller.
