If you are wondering how to read body language then you've come to the right place. Reading body language is one of the most important skills to cultivate if you want to improve your social life. It allows you to quickly tell how someone is feeling in almost any situation. So today I'm going to go over 20+ signs/movements for the hands and fingers and do a deep analysis on what each of the mean. This is The Ultimate Body Language Guide.
DISCLAIMER: All of the information presented in this video, is taken straight from body language expert and former FBI agent Joe Navarro's book, "The Dictionary Of Body Language".

yes communication is 55% visual (body language, eye contact etc...) 38% vocal ( tone of voice, speed etc...) And just 7%verbal. Meaning the words you use
Very accurate! I find myself doing these things and recalling that that was indeed what I was feeling, and the reason why I was doing that. It makes a lot of sense now.
4:55 " I did not hit her, I did naaaah. Oh hi mark!"
Sometimes I recall myself doing this, but I see this stuff happen especially in movies when the actors are said to be acting well. I think that people will notice these miniscule movements all the time and know instinctively and, to a certain degree, know what people are trying to convey better.
I was waiting for 2nd video of this series so eagerly! Thanks so much for uploading, the first video was very helpful too😄

I really like your videos to check if you post anything as I dont know when you upload
Excellent!! Now I'm ready to go out there and judge people!!
I never do any of these and I've never seen anyone else do any of these either other than the ted talk stance because there's nothing else you can really do when giving a presentation. I think looking at the entire body, most importantly the posture and facial expressions is more important. Because what someone's entire body is doing is more representative of their body language than just their hands.

I think you just aren't that perceptive, or do yall live live posted op like a doll
Some of them I can agree, some of them are straight up your assumption. Have you ever travelled different nation, when you travel from colder to warmer climate, you unconsciously will rub your palm due to sweating. Nothing to do with your confidence level or so, does that mean you have insecurities? This is just one sample example. I understand the situation is presented as while interacting with someone but some interactions become habit due to environmental troubles.
This course is awesome!

Interesting body gesture information. Cool 😎!
I was thinking about this same topic earlier today thanks much
I always do the positive movements, speacily when I don't feel like it because most of people will think it's because of feeling but it's lying another level.
Your tips and tricks seems professional to me
Your drawing style is beautiful
you're back!!
this is genuinely helpful, idk why this doesn't have more likes
in the end its not about which body language is right or wrong but its to use each sign properly in the right context.
So lets say if youre feeling anxious emotionally but youre conscious with your body language, lets say you want to appear to look confident, sort of like fake it till you make it, would that influence your emotions positively? Will this influence the way you talk to yourself in a more positive manner?
Honestly, this is useful but I dont understand how people do not know of all this just by intuition...

I thought that I was watching this to help read others' hands, but I just watched all of these and recognized half of them as stuff that I normally do. From the hand wringing, to just playing with objects subconsciously.
Jo, i do all the insecure and anxious hand movements, so this video speaks truth.
I know few new things here. Thank you. Share more.

I read once that if you boss tap you like in the video example,it can be a sing of manipulation, and to break it just subtly tap his shoulder back.
this video just taught me that im an anxious stressed out mess most of the time
Oh damn! I memorized almost everyone of them at the first Try
Useful
Neurodivergents may make gestures in different ways, though. For example, they might do tons of pacifier gestures, even when they are relatively confident in their words. They might be just very stressed from interacting with another human, or just from their body's normal operations. They might also lack some of the gestures.

@@iamafraidofwomen Yeah. And it really depends on the person at situation. For me, I have many of the common neurotypical behavior. I would rarely act more unusually. But I hear some people are very different.
Btw can you make more videos on that book please like I want more contents like that plz
I’m a person who lurks out on the periphery. I’m a people watcher without looking directly at them but noticing everything there doing. Men are more apt to do this so not to seem threatening by looking directly at a person. My worst problem is that I don’t smile, and this often gets me negative looks or responses from people I interact with. I don’t mean to come off negative and I’m not a depressed person at all I just don’t have a smiley face. It’s a work in progress 😊
I am pretty confident that I won’t forget any of these haha
Using this to read my new classmate✅
verdedero mucho gracias
My hands are full of arthritis . Massaging the hands give relief or you find different places with pain. Just like washing dishes in the morning giving relief to swollen hands. Opioid addicts do a lot of these had movements.
4:05 is Gojo using a holo purple!!! Dannnnnng
Also if you see someone making a hand gesture that looks something like a triangle, run they are trying do do something called a "domain expansion"
Brilliant job 👏👏👏
I started to make my own code for this
I think this information would be very useful for forensic analysis, maybe during an interrogation, or if you professionally need to read body language. I think for regular people thinking about body language during their daily conversations will just put them in their heads, rather than actually listening and understanding the interlocutor.

If your thumbs are at the front,it does not mean they are confident or feel dominent,it is only when their thumbs are in the back.
