My tv sat waiting lol or should I order adapter and barrell and wait a few weeks ? I know you can use the block on wled and set its amp to what you want with esp32 but hyperion I don't think you can can you ?

    Amazing. This has gone beyond what I see backlighting as normally, this gives the illusion that it's being brightly reflected off of surfaces beyond the screen, because it's just that dense of pixels. This is great.

  • @GamerMasterlink

    @GamerMasterlink

    11 күн бұрын

    @@bobgoddIt seems that the only solution for this easy setup is to actually have a PC as a TV box. It appears that for now, SignalRGB is Windows-only, so that would mean using software like Kodi or Stremio as a frontend library for your media. This narrows your options, as you'll need to buy a PC that can handle Windows 10, so that means no SBCs (well, there are SOME SBCs that work) for that purpose. I MIGHT try this, but Hyperion seems like the more budget-friendly option. I hope that they port the software to Linux, since that would open a world of opportunities!

    Chris, you're a legend man! I honestly can't thank you enough! I've been meaning to build one of those fancy setups using one of the products sold solely for that kind of setup however I reverted back from doing so considering spend priorities and necessities and whatnot, however this gives me exactly what I'd like to have completely for free except with the limitation of devices to have the setup run on being a pc software rather than hardware that can be connected to other HDMI devices like a gaming console. I'm still very happy to have that setup for pc only and am quite surprised if I'm being honest to have such precise configuration and accurate results with just software! I thought it's possible but didn't expect it to be available that soon yet alone for free! Thanks so much, Chris. You really are one of my top go-to guys when it comes to ambient lighting and décor ❤ Keep up the great work! 👏👏

    Very clean install, that looks like a pro job and the result is awesome. Question: is it possible to slow down the rate at which the LEDs change color? In some cases, it looks like a slow change in an image with a lot of contrasting colors results in rapid “twinkling” of the LEDs and I imagine it’s rather distracting when watching some actual content.

    a micro pc could be perfect for your setup. They have some really incredible palm sized pc's for $300 or so dollars. It would be very easy to hide, mixed with a wireless keyboard track pad combo. You would have the perfect setup without the need for wireless HDMI or a pc/laptop being such an eye sore. Thank you for all the incredible videos you make Chris!!!

    Thanks for this awesome video. I'm really close to doing this myself but I'm confused about how the controller receives the hdmi input. Are you using hdmi to connect the PC that is running SignalRGB and your projector?

    This is amazing! Does the final setup always need hooked up to a computer? And then does media always need to be streamed through the computer for the program to map the LEDs?

    Superb 👍. All we need now is a box that can take multiple hdmi 2.1 VRR supported inputs and 1 out to screen that we can read input from, so lights can be controlled for all connected devices.

    A Hyperion ambulance setup can do multiple inputs and works with Netflix and streaming services Etc. It requires a few extra parts and a few extra steps but it looks awesome when you're done. I use mine on regular broadcast tv, streaming services, with my playstation, my computer, and my retropie emulator box.

    Oh man I want to see how this integrates with Govee now! I wonder if there is a way to make my Govee more accurate and use more lights.

    Brilliant! Does each section (tv, based on board etc) have its own controller or are they run from one led controller ? Thanks

    This looks great (though dialing the LED brightness a bit down might be an idea worth trying, but it can be easily done). However, what you've left out is how to do this with non-pc signal sources. Many people use other things for video source - players, nvidia shield, other Android tv boxes... I assume you'd have to somehow copy the hdmi signal from them to a pc rubbing signalrgb for that to work. There's most likely hw for that as well. But which to use and how to set it up needs exploration

    Wow the software (and this tutorial) are epic. I haven't RTFM'd yet, but for the source signal to the tv have to be a computer? Or could it be a streaming box/etc?

    How would this work with a TV, for example watching films? Or does this only work through using your PC as the display input?

    That's awesome. Does this only work with an input or will it work with smart tv apps as well? I have an Sony 85" smart TV and mostly use the apps on it. Only input I use is game console and it's fed through my AV receiver.
