Ok so basically, you have to keep it in but very lightly Keep it like u see him holding it at 1:28. Make it stay that way and it will always work. Dont reconnect it tight like he showed in the video.

Yeah... didn’t work for me, I’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes trying everything over and over again. The buttons are unresponsive, only some work but not all. Ffs

Ok so here's the fix y'all. It's not the remote or anything with the magnets although the current would help some... And this guy's a dummy. its the fact that when you plug in the lights to the USB connector then that it black piece it's plugged into needs a straight line of site to the remote. Move it so it's in site and lemme know...

Tea Dudeck apologies for the late reply. If you still have not been able to open the battery holder, try pushing it then pulling. If that doesn’t work, grab some pliers and pull carefully.

I can’t adjust how bright the lights are but thank you so much. This is a huge life saver.

I spent almost an hr struggling to change batteries from my other remotes thinking the battery was the issue. I only had the LED strip light for less than a day so I thought maybe I had a defective battery. I was about to to return my led strip and purchase another one or order a replacement remote. I did what you did and IT WORKED! THANK YOU! I had to do it a few times before it worked. But for some reason now the colors aren't correct but I found another video on how to fix that issue.

From this video I learned that I plugged mines in backwards. The label should be facing upwards, the same side as where the light will come out.

Cheers! It worked exactly as shown. We have metal art that has LED attached. Second day if seeing what it could do, the remote stopped working. Switched out batteries, re-seated it, and nothing. Found your video here and thought that does make sense! By touching the connectors the way you did, would cause a "reset" to the electrical flow. It absolutely worked! Thank you for putting this up here.

it legit works when you get closer to your led light plug thing. I was tryna make it work from far away nun happened but when i got closer to the plug thing it worked and if your closer and everything make sure your battery is placed the right way

Its 2020 and this worked for me, then I switched to strobe and it stopped working. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned my TV off then on, pressed smooth and changed the color. Its working now. Thank you!

I actually unplugged the power wire that goes to the receptor and started working like new! Thanks bro….cheers from NYC 🗽 PS: whoever has the ones with the longer r/c (DIY 1 through 6) DO NOT mess with those buttons, it will only create lot of problems!

I had to try it a couple of times, but I can confirm this method worked. When you just barely plug in the connector, you can see a different color(s) appear. Just keep pressing a color on the remote as you're making the connection and it should work. I noticed on mine when you put on the white color, it would "freeze" the strip up again and the remote stopped working. So, I found that as long as you don't put it on white, the remote functionality should continue to work.

I didn't encounter this problem, so it's hard to say. We probably have different light strips, which would cause different results. I was just glad to get the remote to work, considering I only paid $4.88 for mine.

use 100% brightness and white works fine, if it gets stuck disconnect led strip and set to red and plug strip back into led controller

As soon as you said that you were playing with the button, I was also playing with mine as a joke but now it works.

Ok ok I got some good news so I was trying to fix my lights and I tried all the steps and it didn't work so looked at the connection and I saw it had arrows so i saw they were pointing to the opposite sides to I turned it around and boom they turned on. (Not All Lights Have Arrows) Sorry this text is long but like so other people can see this and thankfully fix there lights 🥰

I was literally freaking out when they stopped working thanks for the help man 😁

To anyone who this isn’t working for this is what I did. 1.Keep your led lights plugged in 2.Turn lights on and press the red button (even if the lights aren’t red) 3. Press power button to power off 4. Press the Fade7 button (it might not be the same for everyone but hopefully it works) 5. Turn it back on and the lights should have shifted positions 6. Repeat until your light colors are in the right spots :)) Hopefully this helped plz let me know
