    Crazy that these companies sell these with no instructions on how to connect the lights using the connectors. You got to wonder how many people are returning these all cut up cuz they can't figure it out. Literally nothing in the instructions on how to do this.

    I didn't need instructions out the box for my first time...though I cut a piece of strip in the line and not on the middle copper part, thankfully it wasn't that long but definitely taught myself a fun lesson learned type of experience!

    Just bought a 5m roll for a cabinet internal lighting and kind of guessed one cuts on the copper but wasn't sure of that fact. Thanks so much for a clear consice and waffle free video. Wasn't awate of the connectors or extender accessories either.

    This is the most detailed method I have seen about cutting and extending the light strip, and it uses an RGBCW light strip. This light strip is more complicated to connect than single color light strip, and it also explains the connection accessories at the corners. Very useful, great video. keep going.

    Appreciate you shedding some light on this subject ( all Puns intended ) A couple of years ago @ Huntsville Hamfest I purchased a couple of strips without any intention of connecting them together. Recently during building the Tennessee Valley Model Railroaders N Scale double deck layout ( Bell Buckle, Tennessee) Several members used RGB Strips for lighting underneath the upper deck. Which has inspired me to explore using RGB Strips in my home. Thanks for sharing this video & information.

    Thank you sir for the excellent video , i decided that i wante dmy Led lights on the back of my desk just so at night i can have some lights to go along with my LED Lava Lamp and i could have a really cool set up but i did not know how to cut the LED LIGHTS Safely so i could make sure i dont damage my lights and you sir are a life saver now my LED Lights wont hang over my disk and i can have lights on the top and bottom of my desk.     THANK YOU, for posting - I hate it when a company makes an item and the store stocks it and sells it, but doesn't stock the parts to use it to its full amount. Nowhere in the store, nor online store, sells the splicer kit for 5 terminal lite strip. I had to have my daughter, who has an Amazon account, to order my kit. That's absurd !     Ok I just want to cut them bc they are to long and put that somewhere else so I cut it on the copper and then I have to get clips? And I can't just move the rest of the strip elsewhere and call it a day? Cause it's Bluetooth. Edit : I don't know what I'm doing

    can you mismatch the colours between strips to get a 2 tone strip that syncs when fading/flashing etc. but has different colours?

    Thank you so much for this! One question, have you tried extending RGBIC type led strip? For example, I have a 32.8ft long RGBIC strip but I need another 6ft long to complete a loop. Can this be done or will it mess up the segmentation control?

    Can you please do a video on your Kitchen counter lights install (seen @ 4:20 ) and extension around the Cooker hood? This is exactly what I’m trying to do so would be appreciated. I am looking to see if I can continue the strip under the cooker hood itself as a better alternative to its own bulb light. But this would require perpendicular joint - not 90 degree one as you showed ?

    at the 415 mark where you have the break of the strip in kitchen. That is what I will have with the window/sink. So if you cut it how does the other half light up if it is cut from the other side that is probably connected to the plug? Thanks

    hi i have the same strip as yours and the same black connector but i am trying to connect the t shape and L shape white connectors to the strip but the grb are in a different order at the top they say bgr instead of grb on the strip and on the other end of the connector it says rgb which does not match up to the led strip do i have to match up the letters the same if so what can i do.

    My light strip says 12v at the cut point and is 3 pin. Does the hippo connector have to be specifically for 12V if it's a 3 pin hippo?
