Great job on that stand and canopy. That is probably one of the nicest setups I've seen. The craftsmanship and detail that went into that design is literally second to none. I love aquariums that are more like furniture than just a quickly thrown together setup.

By the way I also follow Ryan from BRS. And his videos have also sparked my interest into getting back into reef tanks. And I agree with you about the older ways that I thought were the gold standard. Lime what ever happened to the power compact lighting, and why I seeing that many people use the MH lighting. The new technology is whats got me interested. Its fascinating how much equipment has changed and improved over the years

Awesome seeing this build. Far more intense than all my planted tanks. Maybe some day I will take the plunge and go with a reef tank. For now Ill just admire others hard work. Well done! Thanks for posting.

PLEASE READ THIS... Man... you've done everything the way I like and have done and am doing in my upgrade. From drilling to diy sump. To building apex, to the dropback display shelves and the rock scape with a space behind for fish...¾"locline , and starting with kalk.. ..great choice on the seperate bucket & doser! Smart! When the seasons & evap rate changes.. itasca pain to adjust kalk concentration.. but BE CAREFUL! Make sure its dosed into a Powerful powerhead in your sump AND that None of your returns point to a short distance to your sandbed! My one return pushed ¾ across tank andvthe other right down into the corner.. this Allows the higher concentration to hit the sandbed before dispersing enough.. and over time.. the whole corner.. one..solid..Rock! 1" thick.. glued to glass..and rock bases.. I could change flow.. but once it starts.. it cant be reversed..and slowly pulls more calcium like a growing coral..After years it got worse and one stran of briopsis gave it the perfect place to root that cant be removed or cleaned. So I just yesterday.. drained tank and soaked it in citric acid and just switched tanks to not have internal overflow. I would love to get your opinion & suggestions on my canopy lift design that you inspired. Lmk!Great work & video / message delivery!
